Despite clocking in at just a second over three minutes, the new story trailer for God of War Ragnarok gives us a lot to talk about — so that's exactly what we've decided to do in our latest video. We take a deep dive into the mysteries surrounding Kratos and Atreus' upcoming adventure, delving into the implications of existing Norse myth, and speculating over many of the storylines and themes that are hinted at throughout the trailer.
With Ragnarok fast approaching (we're just under two months away from its 9th November release!), we think this is an effective way to build your own hype for the next PlayStation blockbuster. Combing through the details and making this video certainly had that effect on us!

yeah wont be watching as i avoided all bar the SoP one. prefer to enjoy it as i play
@stvevan
Same here. Watching the trailer was a mistake, but one I don't regret because it is so good.
But its not a mistake I'll be making again. Bring on 9 Nov!
@Atreus97 @stvevan It's a fine line. I've been looking forward to this game but it hadn't blown me away UNTIL this trailer. Previously I thought it would be more GOW 2018, which is no bad thing, now I feel it will be something truly special. I heard this view a lot online. Perhaps it needed it. But I agree there were perhaps a few too many assumed BIG moments in there. Spoilers.
Contrast that with the recent Zelda trailer which only had about 25 seconds of useful footage and in that only about 5 different shots other than the mural. It seemed light, but at the same time I feel everyone who would be interested is basically already fully psyched for that one, so they didn't need to show more.
It's almost a challenge in itself in this day and age of 24/7 gaming news... to go in as blind as possible. Can you remember the last game (movie/tv show/art) you played that was like that and completely blew you away? It's a special feeling.
@themightyant personally i watch few trailers, so i go into most as blind as possible, even if its a game im 50/50 on, i just wait a little and grab it used.
i know thats unusual these days, happy to read reviews and interviews to get an understanding.
@themightyant Trailer didn't grab me (not really a GoW fan), but I agree it definitely did the job of communicating that Ragnarok isn't just a re-tread of the 2018 game.
Even if it's a tad spoilery, I think it's probably what a lot of people need to be excited about the game.
Previous trailers and footage just made it look like DLC.
There was to much going on!!! Even the first Trailer there was so much going on. So I am guessing it's going to be a BIG/Long game which is COOL Looks AMAZING
You seem like a calm and reasonable person!
Are you a calm and reasonable person!!?
Love that!!!
Kratos: "Death can have me when it earns me"
Death: "Challenge accepted"
@Atreus97 @stvevan Same plan here, will be hard to avoid spoilers from any future God of War Ragnarok trailers/videos that Sony decides to share.
