Team Ninja has dropped a time-limited demo on the PS Store for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, allowing you to play on PS5 until 26th September 2022. While the game is still coming to PS4, the demo won't be made available on Sony's last-gen system. Beating the pre-release test will earn you the Crouching Dragon Helmet for use in the full game next year.
"The action-packed demo features a glimpse inside a dark Three Kingdoms world gone mad and the chaotic struggle to save a once beloved land now infested by demons," a press release says. "Featuring swordplay ripped from the Chinese martial arts, the demo showcases the strategies and swiftness of battle, while also giving gamers a taste of online multiplayer, the character creator, and in-game abilities including vertical exploration and the importance of morale."
A survey will be made available for those who participate in the demo, and completing it rewards you with a Wo Long-themed wallpaper. You won't need an active PS Plus membership to group with friends in the multiplayer portion of the demo. The full game is currently scheduled to release early next year for PS5, PS4.
Will you take the Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty demo for a spin on PS5? Sharpen your blade in the comments below.

This is quite the surprise. I'll have to put some stuff on hold to enjoy this then. September has been busier than I expected with Steelrising, Valkyrie E. demo, and now this. Looking forward to seeing what Team Ninja has done with this one!
Ps+ required to download the demo?
Cyberpunk anime is good.
*****! anime has new episodes.
New episode of Rings of Power.
And another demo to try.
Happy flippin Friday!
That's... unexpected. Definitely going to check it out this weekend.
Really surprising for single player game coming out in 2023 with no fixed date. But why not.
Well that's a pleasant surprise! I'll give it a whirl this weekend.
More video games demos.more better.word up son
What a great surprise! It would be rude not to check it out..
They must be confident in the underlying mechanics to allow us a play this far from release.
I'd love to see more of this from devs!
Does the PS5 let us use wallpaper now? I'm confused.🤷
Is this supposed to be one of those hard games w/o any difficulty options? If so I'll pass but my kid will try it out if they get the chance. Starting senior year of HS is hard, so much going on.
Sony to developers: Make demos for our new PlayStation Plus Premium service, or else!

DEMOS FOR EVERYBODY 🎊🎉🎈🤹♀️🪅🎇
I always thought since Nioh 2 "what if they did something in China." Now it's happening. Excited.
Can't make it work past the tutorial. Anyone having the same problem? Game just crashes.
I think the demo not getting past the tutorial on PS5 And Xbox. Must be a bug, someone let them know.
That's kinda crazy..I still need to try out valkyrie elysium and diofield which I have downloaded. Might be spending the weekend playing demos lol
Especially if wo longs demo is as amazing as the ones Nioh had. So much fun helping people beat the bosses in the demo
Not excited for this. It's just a complete copy and paste of Nioh with Chinese art design, aND weapons. The same ridiculous loot system, terrible overworld map and UI, and padded out content by playing the same levels multiple times.
It really feels like this dev is a one trick pony without the ability to address shortcomings. We give Fromsoft a pass for this and I don't. Like that either, but ultimately every one trick pony falters eventually (here's looking at you CDPR,)
I know many people approach such with the whole more of the good, is great but I can't understand how people are OK playing and paying for iterations masked as something new when in all reality it's just the exact same thing painted over and made to look new. It's not just Ninja that do this and I get that. In fact that is exactly why it's becoming very old and a bit of a slap in the face to see, especially when it's even Sonys flagship studios.
I'll wait for a sale at best like I did with Nioh 2 and ultimately be disappointed as I was with with it if I do so 🤣
I'm all over this as soon as i get home from work this afternoon...looks really good..
I was kind of excited, and it's great to have demos, but having seen a bit streamed on youtube on my phone, it doesn't seem to look new in any way and I don't know if I can be bothered with a repetitive combat game with not much of a story. I'm sure it will be good for some, just doesn't seem to suit me. It lacks the draw that Elden Ring had for me, personally.
More excited for the Rise of the Ronin game which looks more like Assassin's Creed (historical fiction and city settlements) Ghost of Tsushima (World, Art style, direction) and Red Dead Redemption (ending of an era story and the introduction of western influence and guns) wrapped up into one glorious package (hopefully)
I was actually looking forward to this. After only a few minutes into the demo, I already knew I definitely won't buy it, not even play it via Gamepass. Yeah, I know that sounds harsh but I don't like it one bit.
I gave it a try, got past the tiger, then had enough. I can see why some people might like it, but I didn't enjoy it that much. It felt a bit clunky, and controls unresponsive (or I'm just that crap at it). But most of all, I think I'm a bit over the souls style games at the moment.
@Judal27 "valkyrie elysium and diofield which I have downloaded"
Did those games have demos as well? I'm pretty sure it was easy to find demos on PS3, PS4 rarely had any, but I can't find a "Demo" section on PS5. I found this games page, then had to click on the 3 ... next to Wishlist to see the word demo. What kind of stupid UI mechanic is that, hide the demo behind 3 dots.🤷
Edit: Yeah wow, looks like that's how all the games promote demos, hidden away behind 3 dots. Valkyrie Elysium even had 2 listings for demos, PS4 and PS5, but each just said demo so you had to click on it to see which was when. Just stupid.😝
@rjejr yup that's one thing I dislike about the ps store on PS5 so far. There doesn't seem to be a section for demos as far as I can tell anymore. Why they'd hide the demo behind the 3 dots which is usually just for additional info is beyond me.
Don't forget to click the 3 dots for star ocean on the 20th too 😜
@Mitsui
Cool thank you. Will download it now then.
@Judal27 I just added Star Ocean to my wishlist, hoping they send me a notification on the app when the demo drops, so I can go click on my phone. App has a > instead of dots. Marginally better I suppose.
@KundaliniRising333 wait, so even after that whole lecture, you're still gonna buy the game eventually? 🙄😂
@GalacticBreakdown 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What can I say I'm a sucker for games that actually include difficulty.
Is this demo still available? Could anyone enlighten me as to where it is? If I search for the game I just get the game page and no demo.... Im probably being stupid 😂
EDIT.. found it, I should have read all the earlier comments..
@GalacticBreakdown holy cow nvm after trying it, this is literally a copy and pasted nioh game that looks dated and I've Played it before, twice.
The lessoot and less convulutiin in systems is a plus for sure but to not update the visuals or, cartoon overworked map and story delivery, and level design for this many years is just meh
Solid pass now until it's heavily discounted.
@tintin find the game on store, then click the 3dots next to wishlist and it should say demo
I've been playing the demo for a few hours now and i really like it although it's pretty much nioh 2.5 which isnt a bad thing and i like the combat..much tighter and fluid. Heres hoping its better at launch.
Late to the party uh ! Lemme get it
I found it pretty good. I was expecting a fresher iteration of Nioh 2 and got pretty much that. Nioh 2 released more than 2 years ago and so I don't see it as as repetive game especially seeing as there are new mechanics added.
@dschons I’m glad I’m not alone on this. I played the demo for over an hour and it just wasn’t doing it for me. I wanted to love it like I did Nioh, but I really didn’t enjoy it, it felt more like Sekiro, which I wasn’t a fan of either.
@Shepherd_Tallon Now I need to know what the *****! anime is?!
@Odium Funnily enough, I didn't like Nioh and loved Sekiro but can't stand Wo Long, haha. Doesn't have anything to do with the combat system in Nioh though, I loved that but the loot and crafting systems killed it for me. Wo Long just doesn't do anything for me.
@Olmaz 😂
It's on Netflix, and it rhymes with Baxtard.
If it's another Souls style game then no.
@dschons I didn’t mind the loot of Nioh, but they could have toned it down a good amount, I felt I was picking up new gear after every kill. On paper, Sekiro was everything I wanted in a Souls game, execution wasn’t at all for me.
@Shepherd_Tallon Of course, I'm dumb for not recognizing it immediately, what with the !
Is the anime any good? I really liked the manga and was waiting for the second part of the season to be out to try the anime...
@Olmaz It's silly, wildly over the top, and honestly I love it.
It doesn't take itself very seriously, which is what crowns it.
I enjoyed the first batch of episodes.
Played the demo and didn't like it's like Dynasty Warriors plus Ninja Gaiden ,sekiro , graphics could be better , I think the videos looked bit better like cyberpunk did show previously .
The ps5 store is beyond a cluster F, if I didn’t read this here I wouldn’t have known about the demo. On the ps4 store they have a demo section. On ps5 there is none, even the “new” releases section is a cluster F. what a joke! No themes, the folder option is stupid, they should have made it like they had on ps4. I swear how is it that the ps4 is better in terms of user friendly options vs the ps5?! Had the ps5 since day one and it’s just a ps4 pro 2.0 with a bulky nasty controller. Just wish they’d listen to what is customers want.
Can’t wait for this. Put thousands of hours into Nioh and Nioh 2
I can't seem to find the demo, did they remove it already?
