WRC Generations is the latest officially licensed rally sim, coming to PS5 and PS4 soon — though not as soon as we'd hoped. Today, publisher Nacon has announced it's delaying the console release of the racer by a few weeks.
Originally planned to launch on 13th October, the game will now cross the finish line on 3rd November:
As the tweet says, it brings all the release dates in line with each other while giving KT Racing more time to polish up those console ports. That's totally fine with us, as previous WRC games have been arriving with a few rough edges, so hopefully the end product will be that little bit better with the extra time.
In other rally game news, word on the street is that the next WRC game, helmed by Codemasters, will feature a full car creation system that lets you build your very own custom rally vehicle.

A delay by 3 wks doesn't bother me,I have so much to get through anyway lol,but this game I think I may get around Xmas time if it reviews well ,I love racing games (good ones though)
If it's anything like the last game it'll most likely need that polish time. WRC10 was very rough; its "120fps" mode was frankly, all over the place. And hopefully there's far fewer copy and paste tracks in this one.
I guess at this point its for the best to just wait for Codemasters' version. Here's to hoping EA won't ruin it with micro-transactions!
@JB_Whiting reported 160 special stages (some old, some new additions).
What is noteworthy to me is that the regular game is 40 EUR, instead of 60 EUR like the previous release.
If this is more like an update with the new Hybrid Engines etc. and the mentioned updates to some stages and the Rally Sweden, then I think that pricing move is somewhat fair. But still a bit surprising.
9 times out of 10 a delayed game usually ends up a better game
Now for the difficult question:
£27 for physical or £45 for 48hrs early digital?
I’m a massive rally game fan and I’m gutted about the delay but delighted the at the price.
