Look, you probably don’t care – we’re not even sure we care – but Just Dance 2023 Edition is coming to PS5 on 22nd November, where it’ll be lucky to move even 10 per cent of the copies it sells on Nintendo Switch. The game will feature artists like Dua Lipa and Justin Timberlake. To be honest, the confirmed playlist reminded us of a Now That’s What I Call Music compilation from about three years ago!
The release will feature a new Hed Kandi-esque artstyle and interface this time, which looks a lot more Web 3.0 than a video game. There’ll also be online multiplayer and customisable player cards, so it’s really going for a more social flavour, which makes sense. To be honest, if you like the Just Dance games, this will be a no-brainer – but if this article attracts more than 5,000 views, your humble host will do a 24-hour livestream dancing only to Clean Bandit’s Rather Be. Ain’t happening!

I'm going to click on this article over and over again 5,000 times now.
Title says it all. That being said, someone should get a neutered DDOS bot to simulate 5000 clicks on this article
@LiamCroft I'll split it with you, 2,500 each.
I do feel cheated Sammy didn't list the playlist, must not like working on the weekend. Not that I would know a single song. Well maybe if there's some move themes in it, Bond or Pixar.
I better refresh this page 5,000 times then
Well Sammy, better start warming your dance shows
You guys had better click faster, this article is so far down our traffic tracking system that it might as well not exist.
I just want Dance Dance Revolution game on PS5 by Konami.
I remember new versions of these games continued to sell on Wii long after that console was dead and in the ground otherwise.
How do these games work on ps5 without motion sensing ??
@Smiffy01 you download an app on your phone. Your phone is the controller. It works pretty well.
The soundtrack was bafflingly out of date. They just need to go on TikTok and there we go, music and dances as far as the eye can see.
@Valkyria Ahh right got ya, always wondered cheers
@nessisonett
Exactly, they don't even have to try anymore.
@LiamCroft
Step 1: Hover mouse over refresh button
Step 2: Put weighted object onto left mouse button
Step 3: ?????
Step 4: Profit
I care lol, buy Just dance every year. Great game to play with family and friends!
Should've had another Wii port for the memes ...Maybe one for the Atari 5200 too. I heard that's a big, untapped market.
The songs actually look pretty good so far this year. Might pick it up on sale eventually.
@Valkyria but how exactly? you hold your phone? or by camera? cannot imagine it...
...but I can clearly imagine that my neighbors would move me out of my own flat after one song that would cause moderate earthquake.
Two facts in one title.
@djlard yes you hold your phone in your right hand and you follow the moves of the dancer (their gloved hand) Your phone tracks it just like the move controller would. The app needs to stay on while you play. It's pretty easy really, and fairly accurate. 👍
@Valkyria hmmm... so you don't need to move your feet, huh?
@djlard haha, that would be cheating 😅
@Valkyria 😀 but I can avoid eviction...
I remember when the first ever time I saw Just dance on Wiii.
My younger brother was like 6 years old. Only time he played with anything when somebody played with him, otherwise he wouldn't be interested.
Nobody from my family wanted to show how to play as they felt shamed or whatever, so I played with him in Christmas (Back in time like being 24).
For a second I felt embarrassed as I am a really terrible dancer guy.(without practice, of course!) But my brother thought I do dance badly on purpose, and he joined. We had then so much fun, we didn't care what the rest of the family thinks. We judged the family to not even trying but looking at us like we are crazy or something.
Fun fact: Everybody else tried it at least once, when nobody saw them.
And it was fun with friends as well. Just wished there would be some better taste of music (or at least 1-2 songs from each type) and less stupid looking dancer.
But go back to the newest game:
After many years later, how this game works?
I buy the game and need to subscribe to be able to play?
So, basically I pay double price and if some miracle I wish to play with friends again I pay another year or so?
