We'd heard some murmurings that story spoilers for Gotham Knights were beginning to float around online, but now we have confirmation. The source? An art book, of all things, has been shipped early to some customers, which contains major story spoilers.
Executive producer on Gotham Knights, Fleur Marty, expressed frustration with the situation, Tweeting the following:
Apparently, an image from said art book is doing the rounds, and that is as specific as we will be. Gotham Knights is set to hit the streets on October 21st, so if you want to remain unspoiled, it might be time to implement some safety precautions online. @Grimwood It's a story based game...So...Story
@Grimwood I'm not a gambling man but if you read the story synopsis for the game and then guess what the most obvious plot revelation might be then I'd imagine that you've probably guessed right. I could be wrong, though.
To be honest if you know Batman lore you can guess where this is going. Either Batman is not dead and is hiding because of what the mission needs (without telling anyone obviously) or there are Lazarus Pit shenanigans. In any case I am not that much interested in the game. Combat seems more of the same. Plotwise though I would love if they tried something original.
Removed - spoilers
I just looked up the spoiler, can't say I was surprised.
However that made no difference to my opinions about the game itself.
There are no 'new' stories out there, only the way they are told. So no matter the story, if the game tells it well, and plays well, there shouldn't be a problem
Probably a certain superhero 🤔.if you know what im saying.word up son
Just searched for it and all I'll say is that it's as predictable as the Arkham Knight was. As for the game I may pick it up in a sale down the line
I have it pre ordered and can't say I am suprised in this internet age. Thankfully I got rid of social media a couple of years back and this is prob one of the only outlets I would think upon online discourse. It has 7/10 written all over It but I am easy to please so look forward to it.
