Overwatch 2's launch has been rocky, to say the least, and we have faithfully chronicled its every twist and turn. From relentless DDoS attacks to the controversial phone number requirement removal, to the pulling of several characters due to bugs. Despite it all, we think the game is great and look forward to its future once the teething issues are ironed out.
Blizzard obviously feels the same and wants to reward its dedicated fanbase for sticking with them through it all. In a statement, the company thanks players and promises that progress is being made to address the issues currently plaguing the game, with a patch coming later this week.
In addition, we can all look forward to several Double Match XP weekends, which will help us to make up for the lost time. There is no date for those yet, but we will let you know once they are announced. Also, players who log in after 25th October through to the end of Season 1 will receive the Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary skin (pictured above) and a Health Pack Weapon Charm.
It's nice to see, and a positive story for a change. What do you think Blizzard's make-good? Let us know in the comments section below.

why reaper though ? ๐คฎ๐คฎ๐คฎ guess itโs for the kiddies that like cringelord and his easy gameplay
But I still have to be able to actually log in right?
@invictus4000 Have you tried it recently? Iโve had no issues logging in at all in the last few days.
How about more coins for playing? Having to play a lot of matches for only 60 coins per week or paying $20 to buy a single legendary skin is just ridiculous lol.
Put some currency in the battle pass, CoD is literally more consumer friendly than whatever it is OW2 is doing.
The monetization in this game is especially egregious.
I don't know. I'm farily good in FPS and multiplayer games overall, but there's something that did not clicked with me in this game. Maybe I'll try again someday.
Also is just me or tanks are very overpowered?
