Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has an expansion coming, it's called Wanderer of the Rift, and it looks like it's going to be as bizarre as the base game. It's due on 26th October, and we got a new trailer showing off the new content coming to the game.
Wanderer of the Rift primarily concerns Gilgamesh, the recurring swordmaster who has plagued Final Fantasy players throughout the series' history. A new mission, fittingly called "Gilgamesh, Wanderer of the Rift", will see players cross blades with the colourful fellow and explore a randomly constructed dungeon known as The Rift Labyrinth. In addition, the Blue Mage job class will be available, allowing you to use the monsters you encounter's powers against them.

I really enjoyed this game but the dlc is a whole another topic. I cannot play the first dlc because for some bizarre reason you can only play it on the highest difficulty! I have no idea who greenlighted this bad idea...
@belmont they did the same with nioh lock the difficulty behind dlc never the quests.
I enjoyed this game, not enough to revisit it. I would like to see a sequel where they refine the ideas the game brought a bit more. Perhaps retell FF1 itself?
Good god nothing slows Team Ninja down their output is insane 😅
Got the game on sale a while ago, but I wanna wait until all the DLC is out before I play it....one more right?
@belmont Same problem here, I refuse to be forced to play thru the DLC on the hardest difficulty.
Hopefully they'll allow us to play thru on easier difficulties in time with a free patch update.
@C25CLOUD You seem to misunderstand. What Belmont is saying is that you can only play the DLC on the hardest difficulty, not that the difficulty is locked behind said DLC.
You can't play the DLC on easier difficulties at all, which sucks for casual gamers like myself.
@KidBoruto I got this game because I am a huge Final Fantasy fan. In fact I got the more expensive edition that includes the dlc. However, 3d action games are not my cup of tea, I play them casually usually in the lowest difficultly. Recent games like horizon and resident evil have easier difficulty that provides enjoyment, so does this game. It was very cool revisiting locations from Final Fantasy 1 while fighting some of the monsters from said game. I really enjoyed my time with the game and looked forward to the dlc only to install it and realise that I cannot play it. Never it was advertised in the product page that the dlc would be locked. Maybe @pushsquare could ask them to patch it and let the casual fans play it.
@belmont Sadly PushSquare doesn't have that kind of power, they aren't an official PlayStation site or partner.
Them recommending a patch would be the same as a group of fans asking for one.
