Prolific modder, data miner and streamer Lance McDonald has managed to do what many thought to be impossible, or at the very least, improbable: Get legendary horror experience P.T. running on PS5.
The method by which the feat was accomplished is likely out of reach of us simple gamers, and it's worth noting upfront that modding your console is a fantastic way to get yourself banned on PSN. McDonald managed it by having a legitimate copy of P.T. and an active PSN account on both a modified, jailbroken PS5 and regular PS5 (fully updated). The game was then transferred via USB; you can see the results below.
McDonald is a prolific data miner and the source of many fascinating discoveries. He live-streamed himself messing around with the title over on Twitch, although word of warning, it can get pretty colourful at times!
What do you think of McDonald's latest exploit? Let us know in the comments section below.

I still have PT on my PS4 but Im too scared to play it
I see that corridor. Silent Hall
Seems like way too much work and effort to get a teaser for a cancelled game running.
@Zenszulu Yep. Maybe most masterpieces we have now should've just been demos and gotten cancelled too. 🙄
I pray for the day where PT can be easily accessible again. It’s the best F2P title we’ve ever gotten.
It was fun but not worth that much of a hassle.
PT was remarkable. I do have a remake on my PC and it's pretty faithful to the original. That said it's a damn shame they binned it on Playstation. A forlorn hope, but seeing it bundled with the new Silent Hill would be superb and guarantee the new SH sells gangbusters.
@Flurpsel
Yeah it's a damn scary game. I did see it through, but it was tough going!
The hacked emulator sounds like bigger news than just pt, though I personally wouldn't touch it, moral questions aside it sounds like a sure fire way to get your ps5 ban bricked.
