Not including the Ragnarok DualSense in this bundle might not seem like a good move but I actually think it makes a lot of sense from a business pov. The first thing I did not long after getting a PS5 was buy a couple back up DualSenses and that's where the seperate Ragnarok DualSense comes into play. Can never have to many back up controllers. Have a midnight Black DualSense specifically for racing games only

And the bundle will be bundled with even more games or controllers and will be sold for 750+ euros like the Horizon and Fifa ones. I guess I was lucky getting a PS5 disk edition close to release for 500 euros. My friends were not so lucky.

@Sil_Am I want to see more custom faceplates , I thought after them going after that company that were making faceplates I'd see a lot more custom plates especially on bundles

Designing a DualSense Edge, making a PSVR2 and a lot of chip shortages for lack of PS5 stock over the last couple years might have contributed to the no game themed PS5 consoles. So the plan was to just have different colored face plates instead or that was the plan anyway? . I could never get my hands on a game themed PS4, sometimes being sold out before I even knew it went live

@themightyant Game went gold a week ago, so it was ready then, a month before launch. If they couldn't install it then I suppose they couldn't have the discs ready either.

Bundle needs to be $499, if it's $569 that's a ripoff for a piece of paper then you have to wait to download and install the game. Well at least the installation will be faster than the PS4 copy.

@rjejr any other edition besides the base game comes with a digital voucher, the limited and collectors don't have physical disc also, you do get an empty steelcase tho hurray!!

@playstation1995 Whadaya mean the dualsense looks amazing? Sony announced a GoW:R Dual sense a month ago and they couldn't even be bothered to put it in the GoW:R bundle.😝

Standard ps5 with game makes sense since thats where all the stockpile effort is being made, just put in a new box and voila ready for holiday season.

Gaming is for the young and digital only these days I guess.😝 I'm just gonna buy the disc, it's why I bought the PS5 w/ the disc drive. Sony does realize if they want to put a digital code in a box they have a digital PS5 right?🤷

My TLOU-P2 limited edition PS4 Pro is still the creme dela creme of consoles in my opinion. 👌

@thechetearly I'm starting to wonder if Sony came to the conclusion that the HFW PS5 bundle was a more effective marketing strategy than the marketing of the game itself and chose to tone down the marketing for GoW Ragnarok as a result.

@rjejr. I meant that in the trailer they show what the dualsense is going to do in the game.the haptic feedback and addaptive trigger is gonna be good also. looks good in that trailer and its gonna be amazing.word up son

Uh oh, get ready for the people claiming Ragnarok doesn't actually sell well, the only reason it seems to is because it's part of a console bundle.

So funny that everyone seems to forget even though it's widely reported on tactic: that these bundles are actually just a scheme to create a work around to an actual announced price increase for a console.

Given that Sony DID formally increase the price of the console in the name of greed disguised behind a nonsensical excuse. For them to also make the bundles pretty much the only form in which availability of the PS5 even sporadically exists just shows the level of corporate greed driven blindness that Sony is willfully operating at.

Coupled with their consumer relations you see what we are to them.

Spoiler alert, it's not an appreciated fan base.

If they don't do any theme-based plates this time, I swear to God.

@themightyant Makes sense, thanks for the long explanation. Now I'm hung up on them including a digital code with the disc drive PS5 rather than the discleess PS5. Especially if all consoles are going to be discless going forward. Guess its a good way for them to make $550 rather than $450 though.

So I guess we’re not getting any kind of GoW console special edition this time. I was hoping to see one by now. Oh well I’m still picking up the game at least.

@themightyant my unit stopped working, it plays for about 30min then completely shuts off. But everything else works fine. I can watch Netflix/ YouTube All day and it's fine but it's when I play games it shutoffs.

@JustPlainLoco agree… the amount of whining here is laughable to say the least. Just the loud minority, like usual.

I remember when people used to whine about the amount of redundant costume consoles and how hard was to get them, figures.

I'm still struggling to justify upgrading from my PS4 pro yet.

Digital game = no buy. Especially when you can get the physical version and a console for £10 less. You'd think they'd have the sense to out the GoW controller in it. No one's buying this when you can buy a PS5 in the UK easy now.
