The Planet of the Discounts sale ends today, and of course, it's been immediately replaced with another big PS Store offer. From now through to 26th October, the Essential Picks promotion brings its own range of discounts, and as far as we can see, it's packed with big games and not much else.
There's a decent range across PS5 and PS4 here, including some pretty recent releases. For example, Madden NFL 23 is down to £45.49, F1 Manager 22 is now £38.39, and the beloved Stray is reduced to £19.99. However, there are lots of great offers on some older titles. Red Dead Redemption 2 is just £21.99, Mafia: Definitive Edition is a very tempting £12.24, and Resident Evil Village — which is due some DLC very soon — is down to £26.24.
There's plenty more to pick through. We'd also recommend Spyro: Reignited Trilogy (£12.24), DIRT 5 (£15.39), Borderlands 3 (£11.99), and Tales of Arise: Deluxe Edition (£22.74 for PS Plus members). We even spotted PS1 classics Worms Armageddon (£5.59) and Worms World Party (£2.79) included if you want some old school kicks.
The full list is on the PS Blog, and the sale is rolling out on the Store itself today. Will you be grabbing any deals? Tell us in the comments section below.

Whats up with the new Games for PS+ Premium this month btw?
@IonMagi Extra and Premium games should be announced this afternoon
@IonMagi they will probably be announced today
At least this heading lives up to its title. Unlike Sum 41's debut album which was some Killer and mostly Filler 😅
@pip_muzz
Obi-Wan voice
Sum 41? Now that is a name I have not heard in a long long time.
@pip_muzz Wash your mouth out 🤣 that was a great album
When will Elden Ring go on sale...?
@PegasusActual93 and highly unlikely to. Very much a young man's band, I'd slap a rating of 18-
Fast approaching the time that you'll have to be at least 41 to remember The Sums...
