Koei Tecmo has given the PS5, PS4 remaster of its Japanese Nintendo Wii title Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse a release date of 9th March 2023 in a new overview trailer. Originally unlocalised, it launches on western shores for the first time. Featuring better shadows and lighting, the improved visuals will also address the in-game movies and some character models.
The new overview trailer provides a better understanding of what to expect from the remastered 2008 title, with ghosts to take snapshots of and mysteries to uncover on Rōgetsu Isle. If you pre-order the game, you'll get a Marie Rose outfit for Ruka, inspired by the Dead or Alive series. Better yet, if you've got save data from Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water on your console, you'll get another bonus item: the Camera Obscura Hat.
A Digital Deluxe Edition then bundles in the Rogetsu Party Costume Set and a digital art book and soundtrack with the base game. There won't be a physical version; you can only get the game on the PS Store. Are you interested in playing Mask of the Lunar Eclipse for the first time? Let us know in the comments below.

Another Horror Game added to the month of March 2023, the next 6 months truly is a great time for Horror Game enthusiast like myself.
"Swimsuit costume"
Glad to see Koei Tecmo still have their priorities straight.
Another Project Zero game I'll have to import the physical version for.
this is the original ps2 game if i'm not mistaken? i played them years ago
@huyi This Game came out only on the Wii in Japan originally
That Camera Obscura hat is amazing.
I like that the preorder bonus is another cute/sexy optional costume, but with the save data bonus, it's like: "What if her head was actually a gigantic camera?"
Super excited for this. 2023 is filling out nicely.
Finally I'm so happy that this is actually happening ^__^😭😭😭😭😭👻📸
Perfect day for this announcement.
@IonMagi then I must be talking about an older title, still cool we get to relive this once again 😁 keep my eye on this one
“So Deep…Deep”
Come On!!
So looking forward to March. This was the only game in the series I never got the chance to play as it did not come to the States.
Neat! I’m actually playing through Maiden of Black Water now to help set the Halloween mood. These games are a little clunky but they’re so full of B-movie goodness that I can’t help but enjoy them.
Technically, there is a physical version. Japan and Asia English versions will be released. Also, it's literally coming to every platform, as did FF5, not just PS4/5.

There is a physical copy but its on playasia please correct this i preordered it already.
@pharos_haven I'm wondering the same thing here, are they self contained stories or is there a strong ongoing narrative that bridges the games? @LiamCroft
@KidBoruto While there are a few minor things that connect the games together, I believe they are all mostly standalone stories.
@LiamCroft Thanks for the answer, much appreciated!
