Remember Resident Evil Re:Verse, the multiplayer game that was supposed to launch alongside Resident Evil Village last year? It's finally out next week on PS4 — free to all owners of Village — and this launch trailer makes it actually look sort of okay. That's because the cel-shaded art style has been dropped pretty much entirely, replaced with standard visuals. Take a look above.
It's still an online title where famous faces from the Resident Evil universe face off against each other, though, with Leon S. Kennedy and S.T.A.R.S hunter Nemesis shown off in the trailer. Post-launch support was also detailed, which sees at least three updates add more characters, costumes, and a Battle Pass. We saved the best until last there, you see.
Early access starts this Sunday ahead of its full launch on 28th October 2022, so you'll have a chance to do some fragging this weekend. Are you going to give it a go? Work on your loadout in the comments below.

It looks a lot better now!
This looks positively ridiculous. Feels like RE's version of Metal Gear Online.
Well damn, I figured they abandoned this.
Say what you want about RE6, but its multiplayer was actually pretty fun.Looking forward to trying this out.
Zero interest in this myself, but hope those who play it enjoy.
