Monster Hunter? In my Sonic Frontiers? It's more likely than you think. Yes, SEGA has announced the first DLC for the hedgehog's impending open zone adventure, and it's a collaboration with Capcom's popular action RPG series.
Launching on 14th November, a few days after Frontiers' release date, this is a free content pack that adds some Monster Hunter flare. It'll include two costumes for Sonic — Rathalos and Felyne Rathalos — and, more notably, "a meat grilling minigame inspired by Monster Hunter to help power Sonic up". Perhaps this will provide a temporary buff of some kind? It's not entirely clear, but it's cool nonetheless. Finally, artists from SEGA and Capcom produced some neat artwork to mark the occasion:
This actually is more likely than you might think, as the two franchises have crossed paths before. In the Switch and PC title Monster Hunter Rise, various Sonic-themed goodies were introduced, such as an armour set, costumes for your palico and palamute, and more.
Anyway, what do you think of this? Will you be rocking these Monster Hunter outfits and whipping out the barbecue in Sonic Frontiers? Will the age of crossovers ever cease? Give us your thoughts in the comments section below.

I’m hoping for a second dlc includes multiple playable characters.
Sonic went from competing with mario , to needing help from mario , to copying mario , and now copying zelda
i’ve been getting zelda or out-of-place vibes from this game for the longest . i’m not digging this at all , this isn’t sonic (metaphorically) .
@scottdevine48 yeah exactly this . how about DLCs for sonic characters and related sonic things
Very much on the fence on what to pick up to go with Ragnarök between The Callisto Protocol & Sonic Frontiers. TCP looks exceptional but there's a new Sonic game and I'm ready to be hurt again.
@scottdevine48
Honestly, should be in the game already. They could add so much with that. Sonic adventure was great because of it. They should at least add Tails and Knuckles. All of them with different gameplay mechanics, would be great for replayability.
This is a nice sight to see, especially after the Sonic collab in MH Rise.
I like cool little dlc like this, I'll wait for reviews, looks interesting so far
@Decoy_Snake Personally I'm choosing Callisto Protocol over Sonic, but that's because Sonic games never really grab me.
(Yet I enjoy the various Sonic comics, movies, cartoons, and anime)
@KidBoruto I'll end up with TCP over Sonic but Frontiers has looked better recently
@nomither6 yeah. Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Big, Shadow and Silver
@Decoy_Snake Oh for sure, no doubt about that. If November and December weren't so packed, I might have picked it up at full price.
