Fans may have been hoping for a different kind of showcase from PlayStation of late, but the platform holder has raised eyebrows by officially co-streaming the upcoming Resident Evil Showcase. It means that, in addition to debuting on Capcom’s channels, it’ll be simultaneously broadcast on Sony’s as well. This suggests there may potentially be additional goodies in store for PS5 and PS4 owners.
Obviously, it’s fairly clear Sony has marketing rights on the Resident Evil franchise, with Resident Evil 4’s remake announced at a recent State of Play and Resident Evil Village eventually coming to PSVR2. Some have pointed out that the last time a Resident Evil Showcase was posted on PlayStation’s official YouTube channel, the company had secured a timed exclusive demo for Village.
There may be more of that in store when Capcom’s latest horror tinged livestream debuts from 3PM PDT / 11PM BST on Thursday, 20th October. We’ll find out in less than 48 hours.

Obviously it's got the psvr2 mode for village aswell as vr2 content for re4
Sony bought Capcom confirmed
I'm just not excited for RE anymore and it used to be my favorite series.
Announce a pricey controller, then offset any negative sentiment with something Resi shaped?
Some VR gameplay would be nice.
@Shepherd_Tallon they might announce the price of vr2 alongside lady D in vr lol
A demo for Resi 4 has been rumoured for a while now so i guess we will see that shadow drop on Thursday.
Also what parallel universe are we living in where both Silent Hill and Resident Evil are both seeing info drops in the same week.
@Rob_230 yeah 2 & 3 remakes both had demos so hopefully 4 won't be different hope it's not a timed one though I wanna play it alot till I can play the full game
Looking forward more to Dragon Dogma 2..Cannot wait...Dragon Dogma Dark Arisen was a Gem..
@Baccaman. Dragon dogma dark arisen is one of the best games ever.cant wait for dragon dogma 2.word up son
I'm playing Resident Evil Revelations 2 on ps vita and can't wait to see if they will remake both revelations games!
Second thought... Capcom goes for broke remaking RE Remake. 🤯
Capcom and Sony know where it's at with high end quality games.
@playstation1995 Sure was , that what i meant, edited to Dark Arisen..
@playstation1995 @Baccaman agreed more of this please capcom..
If its not announcing a Code Veronica Remake then I'm just not interested Capcom sorry.
Not surprising they do have the marketing rights to the game after all.
@Foram They already did! You can buy PS4 versions of Revelations 1 & 2 for $35 USD combined/total (before sales tax).

@Baccaman Yes DD is the one I'm really looking forward to
@Uncharted2007 insane comment
the series is literally the best its ever been
incredible remakes of the classics and a new run of new titles that are also fantastic.
At the sony state of play they announced re4 remake would have some kind of psvr2 integration then it was quickly wiped from the video and nothing more said.Hope to hear about re4 remake as a hybrid game(vr and flat) taking advantage of psvr2 immersion and new features like haptics(head and controller)
@KidBoruto I wouldn't classify either of those as remakes. Rev 2 launched on PS4 originally.
Regardless, neither need them anyway for the near the future at least.
@Orpheus79V Yeah it's like he didn't do his research lol
@Foram @Orpheus79V I never said they were remakes. I thought Orpheus just wanted to play the games on consoles.
(Since they mentioned playing Revelations 2 on a Vita)
@KidBoruto I prefer vita as it's the only portable to play a resistant evil game that has trophies and ps4 is fine but I grew up with portables since the Gameboy and PSP.
@KidBoruto we aren't all American
@Foram That's fair! I prefer PS4/PS5 games for the big screen TV and better graphics/framerate myself.
