Sony may have recently purchased developer Valkyrie Entertainment, but it’s closing down the team’s forgotten free-to-play PS4 game Guns Up. Also available on PC, this was part of the platform holder’s first foray into free-to-play, alongside San Diego Studio’s long dead Kill Strain. But while it’s enjoyed a longer lifespan, the platform holder will pull the plug on the project from 14th April, 2023.
Of course, if you want to enjoy the side-scrolling strategy’s final six months, then all existing players will receive 50,000 Gold – the title’s in-game currency – to spend as you please, by way of an apology. To be fair, this is a neat little game, blending real-time strategy with tower defence. That said, we can’t imagine it’s attracting an enormous number of players these days, and so the time is probably right to move on.

Forgotten? I never heard of the game to even forget it 😂
This was a really fun game, but really surprised that it wasn't shut down a long time ago.
Explains why it went to mobile
Its a fun game but it also shows the flaws of a lot of free to play games and this is worst one a big paywall to destroy progress. The same was with Fallout Shelter a fun game but also gimped by pay to play mechanics such a pity.
Still playing it regularly. Alliance battles are ongoing now.
It was mostly a pay-to-win game. But playing it was fun in the beginning.
