One of the neat things about owning a PS5 or PS4 these days is that you can legitimately build a fairly large compilation of great retro games, as publishers have been pretty proactive porting old favourites in recent years. One upcoming collection that’s on our radar is Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration, which will include more than 100 games from various eras of the legendary company’s catalogue.
This will expand to everything from the Atari Lynx and Atari Jaguar, as well as the arcade and Atari 2600. Not all of these games are particularly playable today, of course, but it’s neat having them all under one umbrella. And now one Dutch retailer may have revealed the full catalogue of content you can expect to find in the bundle. Yes, Tempest 2000 is there – we hit CTRL + F so you don’t have to!

It looks like a strong list to us, although there are obvious absentees that Atari aficionados may point to – for example, there’s no Klax under any category, presumably due to licensing and distribution issues. Still, this looks like a pretty compelling selection from where we’re sitting. What do you make of the selection? Insert a quarter in the comments section below.

Wonder why it's not exclusive to their own console the VCS 😉
Cybermorph! Where did you learn to fly?
After seeing that list, it's apparent that a majority of my favorite games played on an Atari system were third party. Games like Dig Dug, Joust, Pitfall, AvP, Wolf 3D, etc.
No E.T?!?! :-/ Yeah I know it's dreadful but it would be nice just to be able to have 'EVERY' old Atari games on one compilation :-/ I will stick with playing all the games on my Laptop then(via Emulators)
I have Tempest 4000 already so is Tempest 2000 any different ??
I know I’m likely the only one hit was hoping for 2600 Phoenix to be there.
Sadly, a lot of my favorites from the 2600 on were made by Activision and others besides Atari.
Pitfall
Jungle Hunt
River Raid
Moon Patrol
Cannon Fodder
Kasumi Ninja
Crystal Castlessssssssssss! I broke several of the joysticks playing that game much to the fury of my poor parents... shame theres no Joust there, but will def be grabbing this collection when it comes out
I still have my Atari Lynx tucked away somewhere. I didn't buy it, I won it off the Big Breakfast.
i had the 2600 maybe still in my folks attic some Memoires playing that ive a few atari collections
its a once in a while play maybe bored on a Saturday and want some old game to muck about with.
Pretty expansive list but im getting this primarily for Solaris. That is a FANTASTIC game!
Not a bad list all in all, but I was hoping to see one of my all time favourite Atari 2600 games, Keystone Kapers on this list. The many hours I put into that game, way back in the early 80's, ah memories!
Is there a big market for Atari games still? Who's the intended audience?
I grew up with these games. They were the best thing that I had until the end of the 80s when my family could afford a NES. And while I have some nostalgia for that era because it was a part of my childhood, I've never once wanted to play an Atari game after that point again.
A lot of the best games on the list play much better with a dial or trackball. Wonder if one can find suitable controllers.
I started gaming on atari.its because of them im addicted to video games.my legendary journey started with atari.thats good.thats cool there doing a atari collection.word up son
No AvP on Jaguar, I’m out

Tho it’s my generation, I am not big on the 2600. But the rest of the stuff looks cool, if for no other reason to play games of the era again.
I’m tempted to get physical related just for Tempest 2000. Still gutted I can’t find a way to play Tempest Neon on console and there was no physical release of TxK.
@Uncharted2007 Joust was amazing and still is. I got dig dug on my ps5 already and pitfall. I was waiting for joust.
@Uncharted2007 I don't see joust on this list extremely disappointed. Been waiting forever for it's rerelease for consoles.
@Don_Corleone Where did you get Dig Dug and Pitfall on PS5?
It's called arcade game pack 3 games pacman, dig dug and galaga. I can't remember if I paid $2.99 or $3.99. A good deal on PlayStation store. Pitfall was on Activision collection. Check it out.
My fault it's called arcade game series 3 in 1 pack. I'm at work looking at it on my PlayStation app.
What pray tell is Ninja Golf? That sounds like a game that needs a 2022 re-imagining.
