God of War Ragnarok is steadily approaching, and we here at Push Square are extremely excited to see how the Norse-fuelled adventures of Kratos and Atreus come to a conclusion. With the titular Ragnarok event hanging over us, we can’t help but speculate on what exactly the Gods have in store, as we aim our axes at Odin the Allfather and the wielder of Mjolnir, Thor.
Yet with a lot of names, dramatic history, and a vast mythology to wrap your head around, it doesn’t hurt to get a little help understanding it all. And that’s where our Deep Dive series steps in over on the Push Square YouTube channel. We’ve spent some amount of time digging into the what’s what and who’s who of Norse mythology to figure out what exactly is Ragnarok?
If you’d love to know your Ymirs from your Yggdrasils, then head on over to the channel and give the video a watch. It's filled with all sorts of juicy details concerning Jotnars and Aesir, Fumbulwinter, and the dreaded battle of Ragnarok itself. And while it isn't a definitive estimation of what will happen in Santa Monica’s telling of this mythology, it will at the very least, give us some context as to how it is differing.
Let us know what you think of our explainer of Ragnarok, and what other PlayStation stories, worlds, or characters you’d love to see explored in our next Push Square Deep Dive.

Just hoping to see more people in a few towns, no excuses like "something happened and everyone disappeared" lines. And the Smithys shouldn't be teleporting unrealistically everywhere with some "dwarven magic" excuse. Other than those, it's definitely shaping up to be one of the goat games.
This is a really great video, Aaron. I learned a lot from this!
PS4, PS5, and about ayear later PC. As the usual.
Everything I needed to learn about Ragnarok I've learned from @Octane over the past 4 years. Thanks man. 👍
