Hamster will commemorate 300 weeks of consecutive releases in its Arcade Archives and ACA NeoGeo series with the release of two special titles: Galaxian on 24th November and Tetris: The Grand Master on 1st December. The former shooter from Namco marks its first 70s release, while the latter from Arika represents its inaugural 32-bit title.
While many of you will already be familiar with Galaxian, Tetris: The Grand Master is a bit of a deeper cut. Originally released in arcades in 1998, the game has the faithful brick stacking gameplay that you may already be familiar with, but its big twist is its inclusion of a ranking system that grades your performance as you progress through its increasingly difficult levels.
And it sounds like the Arcade Archives series is not going anywhere. “In the future, we plan to release titles from the 1970s and 32-bit titles one after another,” a spokesperson told Famitsu magazine. “Please look forward to the upcoming Arcade Archives series.” Are there any specific titles you’d like to see join the growing collection?

There are still so many games I would love to see released from Taito, Midway etc such as Rainbow Islands, New Zealand Story, Narc, Paperboy etc. as well as stuff like Midnight Resistance & Viewpoint (which is stuck in licensing hell sadly)
I hope this game will have an online multiplayer.
@videoman190 It won't, I don't think they add that in Arcade Archives releases.
Give us Tetris 99
Rastan Saga!!!
Would also love to see Smash TV too.
It's incredible that the arcade version of Galaxian hasn't been available to purchase for something like 10+ years.
Now, bring on Pole Position and Arkanoid.
@Adwab2 Paperboy it will still give me nightmares but it was great fun. 😆
I want phoenix
I would like Hamster to start adding online play to some multiplayer games. Tetris the Grandmaster is one of the best!
