Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is really firing on all cylinders, locking in the biggest launch in the franchise's almost 20-year history. We also thought it was great, and it's hard to describe how much that is worth, bound as we are by the constraints of the English language. Trillions, probably.
Developer Treyarch has announced that they will be developing ranked play for the title and that the feature will arrive sometime in 2023. We don't yet have a specific release window, but we do have some nice features to look forward to.
Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2 will kick off on 16th November, which is also when the vaunted Warzone 2.0 will arrive. We might even be able to squeeze in a few games here and there, the brief moments we come up for air whilst binging God of War Ragnarok, which itself will arrive on 9th November.
Are you looking forward to the eventual implementation of ranked play in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2? What about the release of Warzone 2.0? Let us know in the comments section below.

drip feeding to the max
Where is hardcore mode?
@Northern_munkey It's coming in the first season
Still not totally sure on the differences between Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Multiplayer. Surely if you have the full MW2 game and play Multi, there would be no requirement for Warzone 2.0?
I think it was on CoD WW2 when I last played ranked.
Just got killed by campers primarily.
Not that I'm bitter of course.
Have you not seen the talk going round? It’s missing a TON of stuff. Including Hardcore mode @Northern_munkey. E.g. barracks, challenges etc. Also the gun unlock system is a joke. I have to level up 2 guns to certain levels to get the gun I’m currently after and if i don’t like that gun I’ll have to start pretty much all over again on another path for a different gun. Who’s idea was that?
@Alpine021 i've not really given the gun unlocks much thought as i always end up using the m14 anyway..
