After the monumental success of Elden Ring, DLC is a no-brainer, yet developer FromSoftware has remained typically tight-lipped on the matter. Evidence has been mounting for some time now, but new files have been added following the title's v1.07 update last month, which adds further fuel to the fire.
Dataminer sekirodubi has been doing the Elden Lord's work, delving into the darkest recesses of the game's code and tantalising us Tarnished with tasty tidbits. The updated files allegedly contain references to the following:
- New hair cosmetics
- Six new weapons
- A new arena map named Colosseum
- Up to 30 new bosses
- 16 NPC/Boss entries called “Someone Yet Unseen”
The Colosseum, in particular, is something that fans have been theorising will be added to the game ever since its launch. This makes sense since there are multiple such structures scattered about The Lands Between, and all are currently inaccessible.
On the new bosses front, sekirodubai notes that it is highly unlikely that 30 new bosses will come to the game; instead, 30 spots have been left open for that eventuality, if needed. We will just have to cross our fingers and hope we hear more in the near future. Cross your severed fingers that Geoff Keighley has secured the goods for The Game Awards!

It would be really odd if they left those Colosseum maps unused since they have unfinished interiors. I'm guessing all of them will probably have us doing pvp or maybe one pvp fight among boss fights that we have to encounter.
Still too fkn hard for me to enjoy…
The game I'll drop anything else for. Bring it on.
I'm all in for this!
I really need to re-familiarise myself with the game though, as I put it down around March after getting the Platinum... and haven't picked i up again since.
I'm not sure how the numerous patches might have implicated my build...!
@CJD87 To get the platinum means you finished the game at least three time. I'm sure you'll be fine, muscle memory will kick in in no time!
@jrt87 That's not very charitable. I'd say most of us just love the game enough to play it 3 times.
I know I won't save scum for a game as good as Elden Ring, especially since From Software did a good job with the trophies this time.
I still have to finish the game a 3rd time. I have 2 level150+ characters ready for the DLC, then I'll do NG+ with them using the new weapons/armor the DLC will bring. This will be my platinum.
No not interested.
Hope they had moved on and making something better.
Game is good but not even top 3 FromSoftware game.
They couldnt handle open world and lots of flaws showed.
I will definitely be down for PVE dlc but I'm good on PVP stuff. Never have liked the PVP in From games. Thankfully it's easier than ever to avoid in Elden Ring! Looking forward to it!
Figured it'd happen sooner or later. The colosseum areas were always a bit of a dead giveaway, but generally speaking it'd be leaving a lot of money on the table for From not to capitalize on their best selling title ever.
@jrt87 No judgment here, it's your game and you should play it the way you want!
@jrt87 But there's no deadline or expiry date on playing it 3 or more times... @Olmaz that's the way to go bud. If you're going to rush or save scum a game, it simply means you don't like it that much.
@Olmaz Incorrect
@TheArt I totally despised a game yet put 250 hours into it. Makes sense.
Take my money ASAP.
@brazzios_84 Huh?! What did I say that was incorrect?
I just bought the game yesterday on my Steam Deck. I'm not ready for DLC 😄
@brazzios_84 I mean that's the average time it took almost everybody to see the entire game, 250hrs in Elden Ring is nothing, you need more haha. What I'm saying is I did 300hrs+ and I'm not rushing to beat it 3 times by save scamming, some day I'll begin Journey2 because there's no expiration date or deadlines on games unless you're borrowing from friends or rental. The guy said he "doesn't have time to replay long games like this" implying the game isn't that deserving of his time. These masterpieces come by once a while, what's the rush, people are still playing Skyrim. I even regret selling Bloodborne after platting it, if it was digital I would've been forced to keep it.
I’ve been itching to pick it up again. I bought it at launch, beat it a few months after, started NG+, and then put it to bed for a bit. It totally engulfed my life for those few months and I loved every second of it!
Looking forward to any and all DLC for this game.
@enrickUranium agreed. It’s definitely my kind of game but I like gaming to relax and Elden Ring is far from relaxing lol.
@Olmaz Just the once my friend... #SaveScumming (!) But yeh, irrespective I think we can agree that 'getting back into' Elden Ring is one of the nicest problems to have
@jrt87 i got the platinum..it took me a long time and 3.5 ish playthroughs and no save scumming as you put it..i was in no hurry to beat the game and i enjoyed all 200+ hours i spent in the game..i wish there was more..
Sounds like a PvP type arena with multiple players instead of the usual.
No scumming here, I played through 3 times for my plat.
Id love to see some new content and get lost in that world again...
@TheArt I don't have as much time to play as I used to years ago.
@brazzios_84 Point is, the time you're gonna spend playing newer inferior games could be spent playing masterpieces like this.
It's almost time to pick up my starter katana once more...
I am ready to get back into Elden Ring.
Xmas release pretty please. I've planning three weeks holiday. Saving God of War Ragnarok for it and Elden Ring dlc would be the juiciest of cherries on top.
@TheArt I don't think Elden Ring is a masterpiece.
