The next free Gran Turismo 7 update is looking slightly more substantial than usual as Polyphony Digital confirms the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta track will be making its way to the racer tomorrow. Available from tomorrow, four cars will also be part of the PS5, PS4 patch. You can see them all hit the track in the trailer above.
Additionally, two more Scapes named Illuminations and Road Atlanta will be available for Photo Mode fans. Patch 1.26 will add the following four cars to the title's lineup:
- Gran Turismo Red Bull X2019 25th Anniversary Special Edition Race Car
- BMW M2 Competition '18
- Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth '87
- Nissan Silvia K's Aero (S14) '96
The Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, a historic U.S. road course built in 1970 and located just north of Braselton, Georgia, is renowned for hosting touring car and prototype car races. It also serves as the venue for the 10-hour Petit Le Mans endurance race," the Gran Turismo website explains. "This technical course features a series of high-speed corners that requires full-throttle acceleration and hard braking. It's tight and has dramatic elevation changes, which result in several blind corners. Overtaking must be performed here with caution."

I thought we'd be getting Monaco with the finals being held there
finally a track but need more please
Always good to see more tracks. Now time to play that broken record, “Hurry up and announce a PSVR2 mode”. Haha.
As a native of the suburbs of Atlanta, and someone who has spent a ton of time at Road Atlanta, I am so pumped up.
Eurogamer just confirmed that the update will also finally bring the ability to sell your cars too!
My personal GOTY with a couple of gripes, one of which they're finally fixing in being able to sell your cars, now all we need is the always online nonsense gone and how about having all the cars available to buy all of the time.
Outside of those it's a brilliant racing game so the more tracks and cars, the better
None of these cars am im interested in driving. I'm still waiting on that Ford GT90 Kaz 😐. I'll take the track though, could always use more of those.
I hope they are looking at bring back more classic tracks, like Grand Valley Speedway, Tokyo R246, and a favourite of mine, Midfield Raceway. Atlanta is pretty cool though.
@Snackfood It would be a much more exciting game if you had to drive through Atlanta traffic!
@mrraditch Dangerous yes, infuriating, absolutely. Exciting...maybe I'm just numb to it by now.
But if 285 was a track, the game might be rated M.
@TrickyDicky99 unbound is next gen
Road Atlanta is an awesome track. Not many racers seem to include it. Excellent addition.
Looking forward to also driving the Cossie. Gonna be some brilliant classic liveries for that.
Patch the ability to play offline & make the roulette fair
This game will likely be loaded with content by the time I finally get a PS5. Hopefully it will also have PSVR2 compatibility as well!
Btw, I hope it has the Spa Francorchamps track? Always loved zooming through that track in a convertible.
