Top-tier PS Studios teams like Insomniac Games, Guerrilla, and Bend Studio will come together to host an all-day charity stream this coming Saturday, 5th November. The event, part of Extra Life, will see the studios streaming a variety of PlayStation games, in an attempt to raise $10,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. That’s not all, though! Tune in, and you’ll have the opportunity to win some merch, including DualSense controllers and more.
“Extra Life Game Day is a way for all of us to come together to spend a day playing the games we love and to raise money for a cause we believe in,” said PS Studios boss Hermen Hulst. “All donations go to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, along with innovative research, vital paediatric medical equipment, and child life services across the US and Canada.”
You can find a schedule on the PS Blog, alongside more information about the worthy cause. Will you be tuning in at all? What games would you like to see played? Let us know in the comments section below.

That's terrific! Not much else to say about that.
That's so sweet ^__^
Very cool!
I love watching the Bend and Guerrilla streams. They're always a lot of fun.
Will tune in to this for sure.
Idea: these billion dollar companies and executives just donate the money.
Dude, stuff is expensive these days for regular people.
Sony continues to **** the bed! #jimryanout 😉
@iGotNintendoAtLaunch
To be fair nothing is stopping them from doing that still. This is just another way for fans to engage with some of their favorite developers and donate to a good cause if they are so inclined.
@iGotNintendoAtLaunch I’m pretty sure Sony matches employee donations.
Not sure if it applies here as technically it’s the fans donating, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they match it anyways.
I do a lot of work for charity, don't like to talk about it!
@Futureshark really though this is how it should be. The people posting videos of themselves giving food and money and things are kinda annoying. Like just do it and shut up; don’t make it about you.
"across the US and Canada" f*ck me Sony really doesn't care about the EU
@iGotNintendoAtLaunch I think the idea is more to generate awareness about a given charity. Sony also donate to charities, but the more people who are aware of the charitable cause the better.
Really good stuff should do these more often. Shame the prizes are US only would raise a lot by opening it in other territories.
I really like this and I'll tune in. I was unaware of the charity before, but I do intend to donate now im aware. I live in the uk and its easy to take healthcare for granted (even if its cr@p). I imagine such charities are a litteral life line for some in the US.
Nice touch.
