It let me in just before 10 so I've got the Horizon bundle, now just crossing my fingers for some PSVR1 game upgrades
I got my pre-order online at GameStop with the dock, but I was going to see about getting a mortgage in August next year so I'll probably be in denial until the end of January and then cancel this in February 🙃
@Victor_Meldrew
Exactly the same for me. Managed to get the horizon bundle and the dock. The wait is going to be painful!!!
Just not enough games there to justify £520+ for me yet. Will keep an eye out and see how the software line-up progresses over the next 6-18 months. At the moment Horizon and No Man's Sky are the only exclusives that really have my interest.
Removed - trolling/baiting
I pre-ordered one with payment on pick-up so I can easily change my mind at any point.
The exchange rate they're using for the prices in Poland is uhhhh... curious. Not in a good way.
Got in early through my invite, Horizon bundle 'secured'! Happy with that.
Yey🥳🥳🥳🥳...got mine just now with the call of the mountain bundle(maths£20) and the charging Dock.This has become an expensive hobby lately but I have had this hobby for 40 years now and since vr I'm more excited than ever!!
£59.99 for call of the mountain seems pricey but everyone's been screaming for AAA games for 6 years....now we have them and they will cost £££,you can't have AAA on the cheap
Just got my horizon pack ordered…was showing out stock at 10am but tried again at 11am and it was available…true story bro 😎
Preordered. Horizon bundle yeah!
@themightyant resident evil 8,re4 remake,switchback and walking dead 2 retribution of no interest to you?
Managed to get a PSVR2 pre order this morning. Went for the horizon bundle. Absolutely buzzing
@Grimwood really?you took one out of someones hands who actually may have really wanted one
Just got mine pre ordered. Nearly missed the e mail..
Never played VR before but seems very cool.
Out of interest are all VR games digital or do they do physical copies too?
@Hurblyburbly For PSVR, it was a mostly digital first platform. However, a large amount did come to retail and places like Limited Run Games printed many more. I would image it will be similar for PSVR2.
@ROTTIEMAN16 Nope! Tried Resi 7 on PSVR 1 and chickened out. Immersive? Yes. Enjoyable? Hell no! lol.
Besides RE4: Re is getting 'content' it likely won't be the full game.
TWD:SAS2 isn't a PSVR2 exclusive could get it on Quest or another headset. Currently Quest 2 has the best games lineup, and Quest 3 is reportedly on the way next year which will likely close the gap on tech. Plus you can always hook these up to your PC to play things like HL: Alyx, Boneworks etc. or enjoy other VR features. It's just more versatile.
There are a few other games i'm slightly interested in but not enough to spend £520+ on hardware. Needs a few system sellers, a larger library/more PSVR games with (preferably free) upgrades.
@SoulChimera
Thanks for the answer. Much appreciated
Also here's hoping we get some psvr2 games on ps plus monthly games or the other tiers.They should have another ps plus collection like on ps5 with say 10-20 psvr1 ports for free if your a subscriber.That would make the £530 price more palatable
I'm not surprised tbh that psvr2 games are £60, one of the reasons why I'm not in a rush to buy this headset
Went in there on 1100am uk time at the dot and grabbed me the Horizon bundle without issue...its going to be a long wait till Feb 22nd, hope everyone who really wanted one was successful today.
I was so mad because in my country they started the pre-orders over an hour early and everything was sold out within a minute. Luckily, they kept their promise in the queue (it said something along the lines of: Don't worry, we've got enough for everyone) and an hour later, the page refreshed and there was and still is stock again. Had to wait another 7 or 8 minutes and go through multiple captchas but the order process was pretty smooth once I was in. Rgeret buying the bundle though as there seems to be a physical version of Horizon. But I don't simply have the balls to cancel my existing pre order. Imagine I'd do that and try to order the base version afterwards and it is sold out in the meantime. Nope...not gonna happen.
@KaijuKaiser I'm in the same situation, good luck!
@Hurblyburbly You’re welcome. Hope you enjoy it. VR was easily one of my favourite things of last gen.
Pre-ordered mine at about midday in the UK. Went for the headset only but probably should have gone for the bundle. Might be able to change it.
It's a lot of money, was really 50/50 about it but as no money is taken until 5 days before delivery there's plenty of time to save a bit and cancel if things get a bit tight.
@KaijuKaiser Yeah same, Waiting for 11AM EST also. Saw all the posts here and checked. Not started for us yet.
Has everyone here that are based in the UK received a pre-order link? Still waiting for an email from Sony
@KingdomTears have you checked promotions?that's where my email was
@ROTTIEMAN16 yup been checking all of the various gmail tabs and searched "psvr" etc. Got nothing
@huyi do you want small crappy mobile games for £20-£30 or more along the lines of AAA games for £60-70.Give me AA or AAA all day long with some indies but if it's small cheap games you want there's the quest and 99% of its library
@KingdomTears I'm in the UK, got the e-mail Monday afternoon.
@SJBUK ugh. Thanks. Not sure why I'm being shunned by Sony. I guess it's possible I might get an email before the day is out, but not holding my breath
Just bought the Horizon bundle. Can't wait to play Kayak VR: Mirage (not listed in the store yet). Tentacular looks fun too... I just went ahead and pre-ordered it.
Lots of developers on Twitter hinting they are developing for PSVR2. The game list will grow in the months to come.
No info on if you are able to pre order these from US retailers.. seems other countries got the chance.
Got in at 10 AM and grabbed the Horizon bundle and the nifty looking charging stand. The only thing tempering my excitement is the payment, looming in the distance like an meteor on the horizon, coming ever closer and aimed directly at my wallet.
Looking on ebay here in germany atm.
HOLY COW 1400€ Scalpers on the move. This is not cool. But hey anybody who pays this amount of money to them is much more stupid imo.
@KaijuKaiser
It went live here in the East Coast 30 min early (10:30AM instead of 11AM)
Check link... Go Go!... 😅
Call of the Mountain Bundle + Charging cradle in the Bag.
This is a big upgrade from my PC VR headset. Meta Quest 2 was the only upgrade in my price range on PC. Hopefully will get PC compatibility in the future.
If I can combine both VR markets in 1 headset, the value will be crazy.
I can't in good conscience buy this thing without at least 3 games I wanna play. Gonna wait for that first.
Horizon Call of the Mountain seems VERY overpriced for a 7 -8 hour experience... but I've picked it up as part of the bundle anyway, along with the charging cradle.
Demeo is a must buy and very reasonably priced for what it is (and I know I love it from playing the Index version). Saints & Sinners: Retribution is also very reasonably priced, but will be competing for my money with Resident Evil Village. I'll probably pick up one or the other at some point.
Assuming reasonable pricing I'll pick up Zenith: The Last City and Pistol Whip (Which are both confirmed titles - not sure if they're day one titles). Finally if either Beat Saber or Half-Life: Alyx are available they will be day one purchases - neither of these has been confirmed though.
Otherwise I'll wait for reviews before I purchase anything else.
I placed my order. FYI, the USA site is letting people in early - I got in at 10:55am EST.

Registered on Sony last night, but still haven't received an e-mail. No luck finding it on Gamestop, Best Buy, or Amazon, either. (U.S.)
@huyi Wooooooooooow. Jealous, much? Sheesh.
I love my PSVR but can't justify the price at the moment.
Didn't go through with it this morning. Waited until now and pre-ordered the horizon pack. Going to be hard to explain to the partner!
@KingdomTears I'm based in the UK and got my email nearly 2 weeks ago, I believe the sales event lasts for 3 days so perhaps you'll still get one
@ROTTIEMAN16 right there with ya old timer!!!! VR was the first “wow moment” tech I used since first holding an iPhone. My dad used to know folks at Atari in Sunnyvale CA in the 80s and would take me to their HQ game room. Things have come a long way.
@ROTTIEMAN16 that and everyone always complains the workers in the game industry get pushed too hard or don’t make enough. $$ gotta come from somewhere.
@huyi as a 50year old male with a wife and a rottweiler I only wished I lived with my parents.My point was I don't want cheap mobile games for psvr I want proper console quality games or they may as well not bother and people stick with there quest2's
I’ve predominantly been an Xbox player. However I’ve decided to jump into both ecosystems this generation and have thankfully been selected to pre-order the PSVR2. I can’t wait to try it out 😊 any PlayStation games to recommend? I’ve played and completed over the last couple of years Spider man, Miles Morales, Ghost of Tsushima, TLOU2, God of War 2018 and currently making my way through Ragnarok
@eagletrippin jealous of what? I love life and if I have to focus on the bare minimum without the trinkets them so be it, isn't it luxurious that I even have a ps5 at all? I am a gamer but I also have to balance my life and what I need also, some people don't care and put themselves into debt, I just don't want to live like that, I will play it when it's affordable, leave it at that
@carlos82 thanks! wasn't aware that the event lasts a few days. Fingers crossed I'll get in there at some point
@huyi Why are you assuming that the poster that you insulted doesn't have a life and is in debt? We're all on here as gamers — how many outside of this hobby have their own judgements about how we spend our time? Chill🙄
@KaijuKaiser oh I love the Mrs to bits(she doesnt mind my hobby)but I do have fond memories of the 3 day gaming sessions you could have as a young un when the new zelda came out with no one to call a halt🤣🤣
Found it, pre-ordered, then promptly realized there aren't any games I'm excited for beyond RE4. But I am - very - excited about RE4.
I might be rationalizing here, but if you look at it like a console launch (the price certainly matches up to a new console), the games are always lacking up front and you are always sort of gambling on that promise of future content. While it's technically a peripheral I guess, the PSVR 2 is its own platform distinct from PS5 in my mind. It has its own processors, screen, and games library.
VR is the only truly new frontier in gaming to me, so the price wasn't as much of an object. Pretty disenfranchised with current gen gaming so far (incremental, slight improvements). I do wish the price was lower so it was more accessible to others though. I want more people to try VR, however they can (Quest/PSVR/whatever).
@ROTTIEMAN16 then by all means, buy at launch I'm not stopping you but consider what other people have to deal with financially and what is appropriate for my situation
@eagletrippin Chill?! Yet you are the one who personally attacked me, I'm trying to keep this headache civil, I'm the one who gets banned here for my views and I refuse to take any bait from no one this time, you can't speak your mind civilly without Censorship on here, I'm done here talking, my lips are iron clad.
@huyi
If this is anything like the first PSVR, the price should see a pretty steep drop down the road. Larger library, cheaper game prices too.
The smart play is to wait anyways. Early adopters are not smart. I am not smart. 😂
@KaijuKaiser now my lads in his 20s on my ps5 and switch I play an hour sometimes two hours nightly b4 I come to bed but when psvr2 comes out I'll be trying to squeeze in more especially when I get addicted to firewall again(the missus would come down from the bedroom and tell me off for shouting🤣🤣)
@MasterEMFG I've had most consoles since the atari 2600 but vr is the first time I've been wowed since mario 64 and the start of the 3d era....I just wish sony would push it harder so it takes off more then we get 'the games'
@ROTTIEMAN16 Coming from the generation who never had a massive gaming leap like the old 2D to 3D days VR was my first wow moment too.Nice to hear someone else has also experienced that wow moment
I'm pretty grateful that I can play any OG PSVR game with no VR sickness even with no reduction features hence why I've pre ordered mine. Hope you enjoy yours.
@ROTTIEMAN16 I do wish Sony would push it more as well. So META isn’t the only one. Don’t think they’ll break out until they make an untethered one however.
I know folks want AAA made for VR new games but I had a blast in Skyrim even if it was ported for VR. I wouldn’t mind more backlog stuff being ported over in the time being while they work on those larger AAA items. Just so there’s more content.
By the end of the day I just want to couch it anyway. Don’t need all VRs bells and whistles functional.
I had my invite but will not be pre ordering. I have a quest two connected to a high spec PC (wireless) and it's sublime for any small VR needs I have. Half Life Alyx and Asgard's Wrath are amazing. Boosted significantly by a good GPU/CPU.
PSVR 2 has great tech but I want to see and hear more before I shell out that money. I also want to see big budget games and also Horizon Call of the mountain £60...they can ***** right off. It's obvious Sony is going to price major games sky high.
This is why I now buy multi plats on PC. Saves me a fortune and I get a superior version.
Gah! I ordered the PSVR2 without Horizon, figuring it was standalone at the same price. Didn’t realise it was a £20 saving.
I don't think I can pre-order it in my country yet, so I'll have to wait :/
@dschons where did you see there was going to be a physical version?
@JaphyRider some retailers have listed them.
@KingdomTears Looks like there will be several waves of invites, wish you the best of luck!
Anyone know if Resident Evil Village in VR2 is free for owners of the game already? Saw the price of Star Wars, it better be a decent length for that kind of pricing. Already have No Mans Sky so looking forward to that free upgrade.
Games are still too pricey for what they are. I'll wait a few years until they're dirt cheap or offered with PS+.
@SJBUK thank you! Appreciate it
As someone who gets motion sickness playing any 1st person game , let alone any VR game , It's solid pass from me.
Ordered the bundle with Horizon and also the charging station… can’t wait until the end of February!
@ROTTIEMAN16 i doubt thats going too happen. You are yet to see the rachet and clank rift apart on ps plus i doubt you will see it for a few months still and never seen sony put "new" games into ps plus. Maybe a year or two later.
Psvr2 too pricey, too niche. Im not saying psvr2 wont be a hit but id rather see psvr1 upgradable and not just another piece of gear to choke on. Ive got quest and psvr 1 while they are experiences to be had they are in most cases short lived, games are short and production quality isnt even on par to full AAA titles. When i first had psvr1 on ps4 i honestly loved the feeling of immersion but you cant game too long, games are short.
I think the issue is you know they are going to charge you $70 for a vr game that doesnt have even 30% of a proper release on console.
@Gh05tm4ch1n3 but psvr ports aren't hundred million pound games like ratchet and clank.It would cost them very little and garner a hell of a lot of goodwill
