We've had plenty of character deep-dive trailers from Marvel's Midnight Suns, focusing on the abilities and combat techniques of characters like Ghost Rider and Captain Marvel. Today we got something a little bit different, an exploration of The Abbey, which serves as your base of operations in the game, and the many different interactions that can be had during downtime between missions.
Featuring modern conveniences such as well-appointed dorms, a voluminous library, a War Room for strategic planning, and The Forge, which is definitely something of a fire hazard, The Abbey is also a conduit for powerful magic, with a sinister past all its own.
Here players will be able to hang out with their teammates and engage in a variety of activities, improving their relationships and, thus, their combat efficacy on the battlefield. Honestly, it reminds us of a super-zoomed-in look at what goes on during downtime in XCOM, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise, considering Firaxis' previous work.
What do you think of The Abbey, you're home-away-from-home in Marvel's Midnight Suns? Relax, take a load off, and let's discuss it in the comments below.

I do like that this is a step forward for Firaxis, with much more of a character and narrative focus. That said, I’m a bit sceptical about how deep it will be considering it’s their first real attempt, but looking forward to it nonetheless. Will be difficult to decide whether to get this or Callisto first for December.
@ShadowofSparta With the dubious sounding script and voice acting I've just witnessed on that clip I'd go for Callisto hands down.
@Eldritch Same plan here, buying Callisto day one and wait for Midnight Suns PS5 version to be $20 New or cheaper in a few years.
@KidBoruto Best way. Patience is a virtue that keeps our pockets fuller.
I listened to Greg millers preview on kinda funny and ive now been put off. Ps3 graphics, boring Abbey and narrative activities of powered down robots in the activities, sounds awful. Not what I was looking for. I'd advise people have a watch and see what I'm talking about.
