There was much excitement for The Crew 2’s long-in-development 60fps update for PS5, but the results fell significantly short of expectations. While the game was stable in Performance Mode on Sony’s new-gen system, the resolution dipped to PS3 era numbers, resulting in some disappointingly washed-out visuals.
That’s been rectified in a new update, which will see the title run in 1440p at 60fps, as well as a slew of other visuals improvements and bug fixes. The fix will be accompanied by a new season of content, named Into the Storm. This will see you race from one side of the US to the other, where you’ll be obstructed by a variety of set-pieces, including collapsing buildings and a massive sandstorm.
In addition, there’ll be an all-new Motor Pass to complete, including rewards like the Pontiac Firebird T/A Golden Wings Edition and McLaren P1 Gold Line Edition. All in all, this sounds like a welcome update to the game, especially after the initial disappointment of the 60fps update earlier in the year. Will you be giving the open world racer another go?

I always wanted to give this a go as I quite liked the first one. But it just seems like I'd be jumping in too late if I started now!
I like this game. Played it a lot. This patch will be a good thing
@MickOnYourFace I played it via game catalogue this year and it's pretty good. Still a lot of people playing it, it seemed. Although I mostly played single player, there was something cool about jumping in a plane and looping and tricking about with smoke deployed, flying over others who were racing on the ground. And random moments racing through a salt flat desert, extreme drifting with others just joining in our of nowhere.
Oh, and there were still live events and updates weekly. I was surprised at the support the game was getting. It's still very much alive
I only just deleted it yesterday to clear space too 😑😑 I would have given this update a go tonight otherwise ha ha
Now how about Ubisoft supports Division 2 like this, yes, please? Pretty please?
Looked awful before so definitely give it another shot now.
Didn't realise this was still a thing
@GoodGame soooo I bought it again on PS5 when the first patch was released to play it in 60FPS and was so disappointed that I uninstalled imediately. Lets crew up GoodGame!
@ORO_ERICIUS Definitly mate.
But first... Modern Warfare 2 later
I actually think it's a pretty good looking game even before the patch, but I'm playing at 1080p so maybe that's why I don't see what people are complaining about
I love the dedication by Ubisoft. Also glad to see it being fixed. Now I can finally rejoin to have some mere fun. I would like to see a new instalment in the series however, with even more detailed and expanded map. And police reintroduced in the game
I haven’t played this in ages, but now they’ve sorted out the PS5 issues I think it’s time I dig it up and give it another go.
@MFTWrecks I downloaded the Division 2 yesterday because it's now on Plus and I deleted it within about ten minutes. Whenever I paused the game for more than, like, twenty seconds, it booted me out and I had to start again. No time for online stuff like that. Just make a good offline game!
It took time but nice stuff that they improved it.
Was it that bad before? What was the resolution with the first 60 fps patch?
@tomassi I play pretty regularly and don't experience connection issues. I just hate that they haven't supported it fully on PS5 yet, but still push seasonal updates and ask for money for battle passes and stuff.
Either fully support it or don't.
Sounds cool think I'll jump back in
