Wales Interactive loves a good FMV thriller, and it’ll return next year with The Isle Tide Hotel, which is being developed in collaboration with Interflix Media. The official blurb reads: “An absent father must rescue his teenage daughter from an eclectic cult before their final night at the Isle Tide Hotel. Players investigate the strange events that unfold to save Eleanor Malone in this live-action interactive mystery game, where every decision affects the story.”

There’ll be seven main endings in total, with 14 potential different outcomes. Curiously, the game will also have side-quests with their own unique resolutions. And the title will feature an in-game chapter skip function, although you’ll need to unlock it first.

The cast includes the likes of Michael D. Xavier (Gentleman Jack) and Jessica Ellerby (Pennyworth). If you’ve played any of Wales Interactive’s games over the years, you probably have an inkling of what to expect here. As always, the title’s success will come down to the quality of the script and how well the interactive elements are integrated. Colour us intrigued for now.
