Remember when the first on-set photos from The Witcher on Netflix started appearing online, and fans of the The Witcher 3 quickly pointed out how...weird the Nilfgaardian armour was? Well, as part of the upcoming 'next-gen' update's tie-in content with the show, that unnervingly wrinkled armour has been added to Geralt's adventures on PS5.
It's only for a second, but in the Complete Edition's recent trailer, you can spot a Nilfgaardian soldier who's wearing the the divisive outfit. From what we can remember, this particular shot is taken from an early cutscene, where the Wild Hunt kill a few troops while in pursuit of Geralt and Yennefer.
However, it's unclear whether this will just be an in-game toggle — like the alternate outfits for some of the game's main characters. We'd honestly be very surprised if the unsettling Netflix armour ended up being forced upon players.
And of course, Geralt can get an armour set that's also based on the Netflix design. Unlike the weird 'n' wrinkly Nilfgaardian set, we think this one looks pretty good.

Bawbag armour
They pulled that armor out of the bottom of a messy dresser drawer, that's why it's so wrinkly.
I always felt like a testicle on the inside, so being able to show it on the outside is a huge win for me.
Is that supposed to be some type of leather. I've watched the show but paid 0% to the armor of Nilfgaardian soldiers.
I don’t mind the Netflix stuff as options, the show was good but the games better, they shouldn’t try and copy the show.
The best part about The Witcher 3 is that it has very little to do with the Netflix series.
For sure it's optional.

didn't they ditch the S tier wrinkle armor after the first season? Or am I mis remembering.
Still chapped about losing Cavill to a friggin Hemsworth. However, I am glad he's returning as superman, and they have new DC leadership, hopefully it pans out. I suspect that a large part pf his reason for leaving the show was also scheduling rather than merely just the terrible handling of the Witcher series design and writing (which was very bad).
@Perturbator I don't want to know what materials you need to upgrade that.
It really is some of the ugliest armor I've ever seen in any medium. 🤣

been looking forward to having another play through of TW3 once the PS5 edition launches, thanks for mentioning "The Witcher 3" and "Armour" in a headline though, and reminding me I'll have to deal with that armour/loot system again
@Belatarr oh no hurt feelings here that show is very mediocre at best. just thought it was funny writing one of as fan-fiction when they both are
