Sifu has already received a handful of major updates since launch, but developer Sloclap isn't finished yet. It's announced another big new update, this time adding a new mode named Arenas.
Coming to the game for free in March, Arenas appears to be exactly what it sounds like — a series of challenges in, well, arenas, pushing veteran players beyond the familiar set of levels in the base game. Details are slim right now, but we at least have the above trailer to enjoy in the meantime.
Interestingly, the studio notes that completing the arenas will gradually unlock new modifiers, which in total will double the amount already available. These will also introduce some new moves so you can change up your style. You will unlock new cheats and outfits as well, so it sounds like there's a fair amount to this new mode.
There's still a few months to go, but it sounds like another enticing reason to jump back in. Are you still playing Sifu? Leg sweep the comments section below.

Such a fantastic game. I really appreciate that they added that easier difficulty post-launch, helped me to actually make it through the game.
Not sure I’m ready for Arenas yet 😵💫
Can't wait. Sifu is in my top 5 this year and the support has been great.
@Ear_wiG Them adding the easier difficulty is why I will finally be buying Sifu eventually, just waiting for the price to dip below $15 New.
@KidBoruto It made all the difference. I was getting absolutely punished, couldn’t make it past level 2. On easy, the game was just more fun; and I still felt like there was a challenge, and I still had to learn the combat. 10/10!
@Ear_wiG Glad to hear! Hopefully the game will finally dip down to $15 by Summer 2023, then I'll snatch it up.
