After some teases, a man in a suit Crash Bandicoot himself announced a brand new game in the long-running series. Crash Team Rumble is a PvP multiplayer game, pitting two teams against each other in a mix of combat and platforming.
There aren't too many details as yet, but you can get a taste for what the game's like in the above trailer. It's heroes vs. villains, and they're duking it out in a competition to capture more wumpa fruit than their opponents. According to the official site, each character has "unique skills and abilities" allowing them to "battle the opposing team, defend their own wumpa bank, and capture key points around the map".
It's heading to PS5 and PS4 in 2023. Are you excited for Crash Team Rumble? Get your five a day in the comments section below.

This game comes off as one of these games, where you have to grind for in-game currency to get content such as new characters, weapons, skins, maps, etc. I'm not doing this again. The last Crash Bandicoot game that I played was a chore to complete. This will be a definitely pass for me. Also, I'm not feeling the new art direction for the series. Especially the replacement for Tawna comes off as something to appeal to people, that never supported Crash, but demanded a character that they can have for themselves.
It gives me some Splatoon vibes. Could be fun if the ganeplay is polished enough. =)
I normally have zero interest in this genre, but it's Crash Bandicoot so might give a try.
Hmm, not sure about this one.
@KidBoruto same but I have a feeling this is going to be free to play & stuffed with mtx
I’m more sad that Crash is now on its third release after the trilogy while poor Spyro has had nothing!
@VeldinX
Fourth, don't forget the mobile game.
Crash Bash was one of my favourite games as a kid so if this can emulate that at all then I would be interested!
Looks like the kind of game that will be riddled with microtransactions and battle passes, poor crash, what have they done to this franchise.
This has the potential to be great like Crash 4, and CTRNF. Let's hope they get it right.
If it's an MOBA then it's not for me
@Would_you_kindly I'll just never add any money to my PSN account, will never be tempted.
@VeldinX Spyro has always been looked over for Crash since the PS1 era. I dunno why and it sucks, since I vastly prefer the Spyro series.
If this is close to what Crash Bash had/did, then it may be of great value to a lot of people, I believe. What I immediately don't understand, is that they choose to name it Crash Team Rumble... As in CTR... Which was formerly used for Crash Team Racing.. Are they actively trying to bury anything that has to do with CTR and its sad 'left to rot on ps4' story? /:
