As promised, we got our first real look at Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in a new trailer, combining cutscenes and gameplay. The game, which is not releasing on last-gen consoles, is a real looker, as you can see from the below in-engine shots.
Fallen Order was no slouch in the graphics department either, but this is definitely a cut above. Character models are looking sharp, with Cal Kestis in particular getting an upgrade, while the environments are nicely varied and detailed.
The game is confirmed for PS5 release on 17th March 2023. Are you excited for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor? Dual wield in the comments section below.

I'm definitely excited and will play Fallen Order before this again on PS5.
So excited for this... Day 1 for me.
Loving everything about this. The first was great, this has the potential to be the best Star Wars game yet.
I'm hoping for more varied locations and more meat on the bones. At times fallen order felt like a prototype or demo and alot of the areas were too Samey looking. Plus the outfits were rather dull.
As a Star Wars fan of course I'm super excited! The game is shaping up to be an improvement in all that the already great JFO were!! i'm very curious in the story department as well, what it will bring!! Those High Republic references are very intriguing...
Really enjoyed the first one. It was a little 'loose' in some areas though, so a sequal has room to improve, and im definately up for it!
It had a great showing at the Game Awards. Definitely on my must play list for next year. It looks excellent!
Star wars fallen order looks amazing on the ps4 and ps4 pro.star wars games always have amazing graphics.word up son
First game was decent...will give this a rent for sure
@RogerRoger indeed, she looks awesome in this trailer!
I just want David Caruso to star as the protagonists father in this one
Cal Senior: "Cal, I'm your father"
Cal Kestis: "No...no... it's not true! That's impossible!"
Cal Senior: Puts on sunglasses
Looks great so far. First one was really fun, this is a day 1 for sure.
So many games coming out that i need and this is one of them..i hope that it has a better map as the first games map was one of the worst i've ever had the misfortune to navigate.
Is that Ezra Bridger helping Cal ?? I hope Jedi survivor will intertwine with SW rebels !! Hopefully we will see Asoka also
I cannot wait for this I loved the first one and this looks like a step up in every way. Hopefully this has some worthwhile dlc unlike the first
This is the way game announcements should be. A few months before release and a nice surprise for everyone.
This is a definite for me, loved the first one and its soulsvania setup. Looks like a refinement of the first in every way, will go for the plat this time!
How about them Wookies?
I like that this trailer mostly focused on showing gameplay. Thats oddly rare these days.
I really liked the first one and I’m excited for this. I do remember when it dawned on me that there were only 6 planets in the first game - I was really disappointed. I echo the calls for this to be wider in scope with more variety and less going back to reuse environments.
The first one is on the backlog, and this one looked very interesting. I actually got to the first planet in Fallen Order and just wasn't interested. I'll try it again tho
Loved the first one. This is a day one purchase for me unless something terrible is revealed about it.
Playing the first one just now, and absolutely loving it, once I got the rhythm of it. The souls-lite elements work much better than I expected. It's really surprised me as to how good it is. Definitely looking forward to the sequel.
@RogerRoger looks a tad bit too much like Cherise from the Peripheral for my tastes. Still have a bad taste left of her as well
@evildave333 I would also welcome something with more story drive, and more traditional check point system. In some games the respawn all enemies works, and it was fine in fallen order, to a point, but with a game based on cinematic storytelling, it defies logic for me and breaks immersion a little. Like: if I die, we can go back to the last checkpoint, and then pretend the death never happened, so everything ahead of me has not yet happened, so they respawn, fine, like in more cinematic games.
But being respawned with all enemies you'd beaten before the checkpoint also respawning behind you, it doesn't sit with me for this type of game. Because what story reason could there be for them reappearing again? So we've gone back a bit, fine. But now we pretend I didn't beat everything up until that check point too, despite being past them, that is really hard to head cannon out of.
"a cut above" Really? Looks the same as the first game to me.
@SilkySmile89 I'd love an Ezra Bridger crossover, loved Rebels, (apparently he will be appearing in Ahsoka) but that looks nothing like Ezra, sadly.
@themightyant the games is happening 15 years after the clone wars. So can be an older version of him. Doesn’t have to look same like the series. Can’t watch the trailer on board, just saw the screenshot, but there are similarities.
@SilkySmile89 I hope you are right! Loved Ezra
@themightyant slimmer chance, but hoping to see a comeback of Star Killer (Sam Whittaker) if Jedi survivor will have Cal Kestis join the rebel alliance. Star Killer is already part of the Star Wars canon.
@Shakybeeves @dark_knightmare2 @Colour @Korgon @freddquadros @nessisonett @Agramonte @Nintendo4Sonic
Day one purchase for me without a doubt! I loved Fallen Order alot and plan to re-play it thru the PS5 version for my first time, right before Survivor drops.
