I chose not to renew it in Black Friday because I only use cloud saves between my PS4 and PS5 but for 30 euros I will totally do it.
They do not delete your cloud saves if you let the Plus lapse? Do they?
@belmont Nope. I activated PS Plus in 2021 after leaving it for 3 years. My saves were still there.
I renewed on Black Friday. Bought a £75 ps store gift card from Amazon for a couple of pence under £64 .
I wasn't planning to get PS Premium but for that price (when you consider the normal price for essential is £50) it seemed a no brainer
@NeThZOR Thanks for clearing this up, I was wondering about it... It would be a pain to reupload everything, especially the PS Vita saves.
By the way why are Cloud Saves behind a paywall? I had PS4 and Switch and I always assumed it was the case but seems like Steam and Xbox have them for free. Playing a game in my Steam Deck and continuing later in my laptop is seemless!

@jrt87 So there is basically no way to back up PS5 saves except by using plus. By the way have you tried to see if you can import or export PS4 saves via USB on a PS5 system? This is off topic but I HATE the PS5 UI. It is filled with nonsense and makes finding the settings a chore.

Mine lapsed not long ago, apart of me thinks this is decent, but then I'm still considering going the Turkey route, few things missing but for £17 it may well be worth it.
Misleading title, only works for new subscribers, no discount for returning ones (at least in UK!)

Definitely seems to only work on first-time subscriptions, the banner ad reads "Join now and save $30 on a new 12 month membership", unless there's some information somewhere I'm not seeing.

Considering how many people who own PS5s and PS4s have had PS+ at some point over the past 6 or 7 years this entire marketing campaign simply screams - What can we do to annoy our paying customers this month? 🤑
Does Sony somehow think all the people who aren't current subscribers, didn't sign up for 25% off PS+ over Black Friday, but we're willing to resubscribe now, are just going to say, well while I'm thinking about it let me pay $60 now instead?
Wouldn't surprise me if Sony thinks people will click on the $30 off then sign up for $60, $90 or $120 and then Sony will just keep the money and have customer service say "FU" when people call for refunds on their bait & Switch tactics.

Sorry to bother everyone about a 5 day old article but after trying this all week it finally SORT OF worked for me. I say sort of b/c I got an email from Sony yesterday about the offer but even after clicking on the email it still didn't work yesterday. BUT I just tried it Friday evening (I'm in New York so Saturday morning for any EU/UK folk) and it worked.
Well in all my excitement I didn't buy it yet, trying to decide between Essential $30 for and Extra for $70, Premium doesn't seem worth it. But I am in the US and it currently works for me on the website after 5 days of trying so I'm buying SOMETHING.😂
@Dloki Extra does look good, and at 50% off I may have given it a go, but w/ Essential half off at $30 for the year, and Extra $30 off so $70 for the year, well the extra $40 probably wasn't going to be well spent as I barely have enough time to play the 2 - 3 games we get each month w/ PS+Ess. Extra 1/2 off at $50 I may have found $20 worth.
At the current sale price even my kid said it was too expensive like the Switch Expansion pack. If you don't have a Switch it's $35 year for my Family Online but it's another $45 or $50 for the expansion, and we don't think the "expansion" part of a price should cost more than the base part of the price. Nobody is buying games for $30 and spending $60 on DLC, that's not how it works. Well maybe for Destiny 2. 😂
tldr - $30 for PS+ games, online and cloud saves is ok, another $40 on top of that for a few extra games seemed excessive

I’ve just brought a PS5 ( last time I owned was a long time ago PS2! ) So I’ma new customer to PS Plus, but the £25 off isn’t working for me? I’m trying to get a years PS Plus Extra for £83.99 - £25 should be £58.99, right? But the reduction doesn’t show up when you’re ready to check out. Has anybody else experienced this or worked around it?
