As part of yesterday's Dragon Age Day celebrations, BioWare revealed a new work-in-progress cinematic from Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. It's a very brief look, but it discusses the backstory and motives of main villain Solas, who you'll know from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Check it out above.
Elsewhere, the studio highlighted its community's efforts to raise money for charities, with this year being the Trans Empowerment Project. So far, over $15,000 has been raised to help support "the most marginalized people in the queer community, such as disabled and trans people of color". Then, later this week on 9th December 2022, the Dragon Age: Absolution TV show debuts on Netflix.
Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has appeared at The Game Awards a few times now, so there's a possibility we might see more from the RPG later this week. Its presence hasn't been confirmed yet, though. Rumours still point to a PS5 release in late 2023. Are you excited for another Dragon Age? Let us know in the comments below.

I look forward to frying The Egg!
Still one of the few next-gen games I'm excited for.
Regardless of my own interest in the game, it’s nice to see so much money raised for charities by the community.
Don’t have to watch. He wants elves back in control and all humanity enslaved. This is what gods do when their flock gets decimated, walk among them, help them, understand them and then serve them up as slaves. We know the general plot. Elves vs humans.
I wanna see this game in action before I get giddy.
I also wonder if they'll bring any characters back from the dark horse comics they released a few years ago, there were about three I think but my was the one about the elven squire/rogue and the elderly human knight whose names I can't remember. I'd like to see those two come back, they had a nice dynamic.
I always did dislike that elf. He had his charming moments but I never really trusted him. Good character.
Can't wait to burn/zap/stab/slice/pierce/chop him to death.
One of the games I'm most excited for. I've been waiting since I beat Inquisition years and years ago. Loved Inquisition. Solas was actually a good character and the ending you get during the Trespasser DLC if your good friends with him is awesome. Him wanting to save the Elves makes total sense if you've played the games and know the lore, he's just doing it in a way too drastic way.
I do hope we see something at The Game Awards but please don't have Varric as a team member again. He shouldn't have been in Inquisition as a member. He's fine as a mouthpiece/storyteller.
I also hope Leliana comes back as a playable character.
Still have to go back and play the Inquisition DLC, which I bought but never got around to. Reckon I still have over a year before the next game drops.
That said Inquisition was a mixed bag for me. Loved the story, characters and some other elements but hated how long and drawn out everything else was. It was like it was designed purposefully to eat up time, and that meant it outstayed the fun of it's game play loop. Was happy when I was done.
Still stunned it won GOTY at TGA's... but 2014 was a relatively weak year in gaming.
@themightyant 2014 was not a weak year in gaming to me imo.
Alien: Isolation
Bayonetta 2
Dark Souls II
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Far Cry 4
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
South Park: The Stick of Truth
@KidBoruto I said RELATIVELY, every year has some good games, but there were far too many sequels that didn't bring enough to the table. E.g. Of the games you mentioned I played all but SP: SoT:
In fact only 2 of those titles got over 90 on Metacritic, most were mid 80s, while it isn't the end-all-be-all decider of taste - we all like what we like - it does show that it was generally seen as weaker year relative to others.
@themightyant TBH I've only plated South Park: The Stitch of Truth from everything listed.
Loved it and plan to replay before starting Fractured But Whole.
