Returnal wasn't the only Sony game to get a release date for its PC port today. Yes, The Last of Us: Part I is also heading to Steam and Epic Games Store, as you can see with the above trailer.
The port is heading to PC on 3rd March 2023, so it's only a couple of months away. We don't have any other details about any enhancements, but we imagine it'll offer similar features to Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which boasts ultra-wide support, temporal upscaling, and more.
Will you be playing this excellent remake on PC? Tell us in the comments section below.

Day one, as always. I hope Part 2 makes it over to PC soon, as well.
The PS5 version has more benefits than I could ask for with 3D audio, haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, 60+fps with VRR, and most importantly (to me) gyro aiming.
I'm happy for PC players who will be playing this masterpiece for the first time! Enjoy! 😁
@gollumb82 When Part 2 releases on PC, we should also finally get a PS5 native version too.
Looking forward to that very much, hopefully it happens in 2024.
I will not be popular for saying this but bring a Last of Us 2 native PS5 version. Might as well cause that HBO show is looking like a winner. Get all the money and polish this series can bring while the iron is hot. Yes i would buy a last of us Part 2 to go along side Part 1, which is currently my favorite game on PS5. Worth $70? Eh….. no, but i got the digital edition PS5, cause well i dislike disc‘s and i was still able to get it for $50. Which is worth it, but $40 is the steal price point.
@KidBoruto
I wonder if this will happen. ND will be accused of 'wasting resources' by many here. Fingers crossed both PS5 and PC crowd get what they want. I did buy Part 1 on PS5 at launch and enjoyed the hell out of it, but sold my PS5 and jumped into PC gaming a month or so later. Will keep supporting those Sony ports just as a way of saying thank you.
My legion 5 rtx 3070 will play this 👍 saves trying to get the PS3 emulator to work lol can't wait plus we have the last of us tv series on the 15th of January
Releasing around the time that the HBO series season will probably be ending, perfect timing.
Charged their own base $70 for a game nobody asked for with new makeup, sat around ***** trying to justify it only to turn around not even a year's time and give PC folks a discount lol.
I'm not mad that they announced this PC release, in fact I applaud Sony for clearly communicating that it would release for PC not long after the PS5 version. At least they gave us the heads up to make our purchasing decision accordingly so nobody needed to rush getting it on PS5 out of port uncertainty. They should take the same transparent approach with all their future announcements so we can really judge for ourselves whether the PS5 is a worthwhile purchase at all.
What really irks me here is the price difference between the PS5 and PC versions. They spent all that time justifying the £70 price hike in articles and tweets from devs only to price it cheaper on PC, whose storefronts split the revenue 70/30. So in the end they release a better version of the same game that isn't crippled by console limitations and reward the PC players with a cheaper price while PS5 owners get royally screwed yet again.
The case is even worse for Returnal which won't even have the PS+ requirements for online play on PC and was falsely marketed as a PS5 exclusive. The minimum specs for Returnal are listed as only needing a GTX 1060 and an SSD is only "recommended" not required. So we have more proof that these games are not designed to fully utilise the PS5 and we will probably never get any true games made just for PS5 now that they're all seemingly PC bound.
@gollumb82 Naughty Dog would be insane to only remake/remaster Part 1. It's just a matter of how long they're gonna make us wait for Part 2.
One theory is that the multiplayer Factions game will release during the same year.
@KidBoruto
I mean, Part 2 looks and plays great on PS5. I guess they could bump the resolution or sharpen the textures a little bit. Part 1 looks way better than the remaster. I wish Naughty Dog released Uncharted 1-3 on PC. Still got them on PS3 and they are ok, but it's just not the same.
@gollumb82 I know you sold off your PS5, but if you have a PS4 they did release an Uncharted Trilogy remaster.
Yeah, I know. I actually bought it for PS4 back in the day. I just don't feel like going back to PS4 or consoles in general. I'll manage with the PS3 copies 🙂 Appreciate the suggestion, though.
