The sequel to Skydance Interactive’s critically acclaimed virtual reality survival smash hit The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution [We hate that name – Ed], will scavenge for resources from 21st March, 2023 on PSVR2. And in surprise news, it’ll be available as part of a bundle featuring a port of its predecessor, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Tourist Edition. It’s unclear whether you’ll be able to buy the PSVR2 conversion of the original outside of the bundle, but we’ll try and get clarification of that.

Pre-orders are open now for all permutations, with the sequel priced at £32.99/$39.99 on its own and the bundle costing £49.99/$59.99. The latter comes with a bunch of in-game recipes and extras to help sweeten the deal.
We watched a hands-off demo of this game earlier in the year and came away wildly impressed. If you’ve been critical of the short-form nature of some virtual reality games, then this plays out like a complete survival sandbox, with tons of explorable buildings, craftable weapons, and emergent gameplay that constantly keeps you on your toes. The original is regarded as one of the best PSVR games available, so the sequel is looking like a must buy if you’re planning to pick up Sony’s next-gen headset.

I wonder if owners of the first game will have an option to upgrade it to its PSVR2 version?
This is the news I have been waiting for! I’m into the walking dead series and comics big time so this will be the perfect package for me. Really pleased about the 1st game being bundled with Retribution…now move outta my way…I got a pre order to make!
@OmegaStriver I wondered this, too. Will try and find out!
I heard good things about the first one. Glad to see it's going to be available. I'm really looking forward to grabbing one of these. Can't say I've ever been hyped for a VR headset, but here I am!
Now do the same for Astrobot Rescue Mission and Moss 1 & 2 and I'll be a very happy camper!
Disappointed it isn’t release day, but near enough. By the time I’ve finished horizon and switchback, and dipped into NMS a little, it’ll be out.
To be honest I couldn’t really get into the first due to the janky controls, but it’ll be fixed with the better tracking tech in the new headset, so will definitely be getting this because the game was actually quite good when I wasn’t frustrated.
@Sequel apparently there's a second pre order 'event' on the 6th December so if you can forgive sony there's a second chance to register your interest to get an invite
@MFTWrecks probably one of the best games available on vr ,youre in for a treat, smashing zombies with an axe never gets old
@OmegaStriver @get2sammyb unless its free, get the delux edition.... thats only 10 more- usual upgrade cost
1st one was complete frustration on psvr,so looking forward to new version with eye tracking, oled hdr, haptics and all the rest but mainly to not lose tracking ten times per minute or get killed because you can't pick your gun up
Looking forward to this. VR is evolving where more full fledged games are being made for it. I remember the PSVR and at the start it just felt like a stack of demos and not full length titles
If you downloaded 1 psvr1 will it work on psvr2 or will you have t buy it again for new controls ?
does anyone know if the PSVR 1 version of this has been cancelled?
@Robocrop_Duster it's being released after the psvr2 version at some point in 2023 apparently
@tallythwack I love zombie games. So it's been on the top of my wishlist for VR games. So excited to be able to get both of them on the new hardware.
So if you have it on PSVR 1, will you be able to play it on PSVR 2 without buying again?
Happy to finally have PSVR2 confirmation, a date, and price!
