Redemption Reapers, the dark fantasy strategy RPG that first caught our eye near the end of last year, now has a confirmed release date. It's bringing turn-based battles and "complex" character relationships to PS4 on the 23rd February, adding yet another intriguing title to what is a bulging release schedule.
You can get a better look at the game in the new gameplay trailer embedded above. It's also worth reiterating that Redemption Reapers is the product of some big names in the role-playing space, including Fire Emblem series director Masayuki Horikawa. We're hoping that it ends up being a bit of a surprise hit.

February is just a no go for more games now. Will have 6 new ones to play as it is. Probably a mistake releasing with 3 other RPGs that month (that I know of) plus PSVR2…
Really hope its good, love tactical games, turn based especially,,and rtwp.
Looks pretty cool. I like the character design in particular and you can certainly see the former Fire Emblem director's influence. Only two things is I've already picked what I'll be playing in February and I'm currently playing Fire Emblem Engage so I don't think I'd want to go back to back on two games like that.
Maybe at some point later in the year like after FF16 I'll give this a whirl. Too many games! Not enough time!
American voice overs in dark fantasy RPGs just seems so wrong to me.
This looks like the inverse of Fire Emblem Engage. That game went all in on super anime-esque designs and an eye-popping use of color, while this is opting for more realistic designs and looks more brown-grey than a seventh gen FPS, lol.
I'll keep an eye on it, although, I gotta say, I HATE the incredibly generic title.
After midnight sun's and fire emblem I'm definitely down for more, February's already packed though.
Edit: For anyone who's interested in the physical version, it comes out in April. That's when I'll be getting it for sure, it's a bit quieter then.
Jesus, I haven't even heard of this but it looks right up my alley. Will be keeping a close eye on it.
Can't be worse than Fire Emblem Engage's story. Though I do enjoy it's gameplay. I'll keep an eye on the reviews for this game before I pick it up.
This looks very interesting indeed! Seems to have been a long time since we've had an isometric turn-based RPG.
There's also dark envoy that looks interesting, another tactical rpg from a small dev.
