EA has published the launch trailer for the Dead Space remake earlier than expected, handing us another glimpse of the remodelled survival horror classic right now instead of tomorrow. We get a good look at protagonist Isaac Clarke's new face, but then the famous helmet is put on for some Necromorph encounters. Check the launch trailer out above.
Alongside sweeping shots of the USG Ishimura's wrecked innards, we also get some action shots involving the Plasma Cutter and zero-g gameplay. The Dead Space PS5 remake releases for PS5 on 27th January 2023; has this newest look convinced you to purchase, or are you waiting for reviews? Let us know in the comments below.

Got my pre-order in and ready to go on release day (assuming my game will be delivered that day).
I really hope the PS5 version has gyro support like Callisto Protocol has 🤞.
I dunno, looks a lot like Callisto Protocol.
Kinda weird that they went in this direction. Dead Space has never been an iconic franchise at least in my eyes. You just walk forward and shoot aliens in their legs or arms.
I would have liked a fresh setting.
@InternetUser we would have straight up liked a new game. The Ishimura is iconic, I'll revisit for what it's worth. Probably not launch price 😗 I dunno hard one to resist when its looking like that
Man i’m too hyped for this , game looks like a banger and a good horror fix that’s finally coming back
Can’t wait til 2008 !!!
I'm actually hoping for a following remake of Dead Space 2, which was also excellent.
Not 3 though.
Not a fan of Dead Space at all, but I hope it sells very well. Us single player game fans need to stick together!
I can't count the number of times I beat Dead Space 1&2. So I'm thrilled for this remake. They nailed the atmosphere of the first game for sure! Here's hoping this sells well as I'd love a follow-up remake of the 2nd game!
SO ready for this!!! Have had this on preorder for some time now.
Hot Dang I was waiting on dead space 4 hopefully this will lead there again Isaac lives! Necromorph hunting season begins! I've this trilogy on PlayStation xbox and steam took a while for EA to wise up and put dead space back on steam , origin waste of time , its steam or gog for me. Gog has early 90s classics to its great dudes!
@InternetUser agreed. It's bizarre how scrambled history becomes with each new generation. This game was just a simple walk down a corridor and shoot stuff with the occasional jump scare. Dead Space's gameplay was not revolutionary then and since then has become extremely dated and played out. The hype around this reminds me of the hype around silent hill. Those games were always lauded as OK resident evil gameplay copy cats, yet now people seem to think them getting remade(remastered in truth) is the second coming and the originals were historical masterpieces. Please
I would have been far more hyped to see a complete reboot of dead space with updated mechanics and game design. I have no interest in playing the same gameplay and largely the same game with prettier graphics. This reselling of old content is far more a cash in than it is a labor of love. The story and framework is already written, the IP already owned. The more we pretend this is something new, or good, the less innovation and creative content will exist in this medium.
We are already in an era where AI Is largely and haphazardly remastering old games and developers just try and brush over the rough edges and release it, because it's such a high profit margin to do so little.
Why do we celebrate getting sold the same content over and over at full price.
I hope this does so well they green light a dead space 2 remake by the end of the year.
I would like to grab a remake of LostPlanet even more than this.
@InternetUser what? Dismember them! Totally cracking trilogy! Right up there with fall of man!
I loved the first two games and thought the third one was alright.
This won't be a full price purchase, but definitely will pick it up in a year or two when it's $25 New or cheaper.
@Futureshark I'd say DS3 needs a reame more than any of them to make it better. I think they'd need to make a few story changes, though
@KundaliniRising333 I was agreeing with your opinion until you lumped Silent Hill with Dead Space.
While its gameplay is not the most revolutionary, the story and symbolism especially in the second game reach depths that other games wish they could. Silent Hill games were always more about the story than the gameplay and whereas I don't think they're perfect by any means, they do belong in video game history for their creativity with their narrative.
1. Dead Space
2. Wo Long
3. RE4 Remake
The first few months of 2023 are going to be EPIC!!!!!
@Futureshark I never heard of part 3 just like with Dino Crisis there is no part 3.
@Fyz306903 I think its easier to start from scratch with 3.
Looks cool. But not on the £70 RRP for a remake bandwagon despite playing the original 4-5 times. Will wait for reviews and then a sale.
I never played this back in the day. Looks really good. Played Callisto an think that’s decent, looks similar.
Hoping this plays as good as it looks!
After this, if it does well, hoping for an entirely new entry in the series. New protagonist, flexible weapon building (like 3 but more developed), and a new setting.
We shall see…
After pre-ordering Callisto Protocol -> lesson learned, no way, I'll wait for the first discount.
@KundaliniRising333
Fifa is running after a ball
Gran Turismo is drving in circles
Still they’re very popular….
N.i.c.e.Dead space the horror masterpiece is back.cant wait for this legendary game.dead space remake is gonna be a wonderful game.word up son
@themightyant will come to eaplay, so may aswell wait till then
Anyone know the review embargo date?
@InternetUser My dude ever heard of "over simplifying"? That is the dumbest way of explaining why something aint iconic.
@Futureshark Played and finished DS3 recently for the first time and it's far better than the critics and armchair keyboard critics said. It's action horror but in DS universe.
@KundaliniRising333 DeadSpace remake is like ALIEN and The Thing getting 4K on Blu-ray. This game is unquestionably a classic worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as those movies.
@InternetUser Then you need glasses bc DS is iconic like the movies ALIEN and The Thing but on Blu-ray.
