God of War Ragnarok will battle it out for the coveted Game of the Year accolade at this year's GDC Awards in March. A list of categories voted on by game developers, it faces competition from Elden Ring, Stray, Tunic, Pentiment, and also Immortality for the main prize. The Santa Monica Studio title is nominated in another four categories, with every winner set to be announced on 22nd March 2023.
Elden Ring and Stray both scooped up six nominations, while God of War Ragnarok has five. It is also on the ballot for Best Audio, Best Narrative, Best Technology, and Best Visual Art. Horizon Forbidden West is also nominated in the same categories except for Best Narrative, where the likes of Return to Monkey Island trump it.

I really don't see what all the fuss about stray is, I found it boring and repetitive.
Best Audio? Now I think about it, it was amazing, especially with headphones on.
