It's fairly short, but the new story trailer for Like a Dragon: Ishin! sets the stage for yet another engrossing tale in RGG Studio's beloved franchise. Yakuza fans will already be well aware of the developer's knack for telling gripping narratives, and to be frank, we wouldn't expect anything less from this upcoming remake.
Of course, a bunch of people have already played Ishin! thanks to the fact it first released almost a decade ago on PS4 in Japan — and no one's expecting this revival to deviate from the original script. However, we've been told on multiple occasions that Ishin! has an incredible story — even by the series' high standards. We can't wait to finally play through it.

This looks brilliant! Cannot wait for release date
The emotional storytelling has always been one of the strongest points of the series. They don't shy away from social problems like getting out crime, poverty, bullying, the idol industry etc etc.
That combined with the huge amount of side content to do, the wackyness of certain parts of the games and the great voice actors makes this by far my favorite game series. I can't wait to play this one day 1.
@Lavalera exactly sums up my love for the series.
With this and Hogwarts Legacy it is going to be a quality packed month!
This is the game that I am most hyped for this year. I am late to the Like a Dragon (Yakuza) series but have played 0,1,7 and both Judgment games. Waiting on 60FPS for the entire series on PlayStation to keep going (may get an Xbox just to do this). But Ishin is going to be special. It's actually the first Like a Dragon game that I have waited on and become hyped for during its release cycle.
After Ishin comes out and all the accolades are received and the fervor dies down we can then get some news about Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
Logic says: This game interests me because of the continuous quality of the series in the retelling of a semi-historic story of significant cultural Japanese importance.
Reality says: Medieval Majima, take my money!
no way i could play this game without the translation
