MADiSON, the Bloodious Games fright-fest already available on PS5, is getting ported to PSVR2. Announced during publisher Perp Games’ showcase earlier today, there’s no official release date attached to the virtual reality version, but the developer promises it will significantly up the ante compared to the original pancake option.
Inspired by seminal survival horrors like Outlast and even Konami’s infamous PT demo, the game sees you explore a decrepit house of horrors armed with little more than a Polaroid camera. The title’s most original mechanic is how you’ll use your viewfinder to solve puzzles and learn clues – a neat idea, there’s no doubt about that.
We reviewed the PS5 version on Push Square, and awarded the game a 5/10, criticising it for its lack of new ideas. While these complaints will likely still apply to this PSVR2 version as well, we imagine the immersion of Sony’s headset will breathe some new life into the experience – even if it’s unlikely to be for the faint of heart.

I still need to play the regular edition I picked up for PS5 last year. That's cool it's coming to PSVR2 even though I'll be skipping that.
Once you play a horror game in VR, you never want to go back to depthless window gaming for the genre (same for platformers, racing games, flight games…) Another game for me to look forward too.
Greats news! The scariest game i've played.
Push Square Gave it 5/10 and most other outlets called it horror game of the year lol
It was even chosen as the scariest game ever in a scientific study with heart monitors.
"Generally favorable" on Metacritic; 87% "Very Positive" on Steam.
You guys need to review the people who do the reviews
Yes! Time to stock up on some adult diapers.
@nico013 It's all just opinion at the end of the day.
I recently played this with my new 5.1 home theater and I have to say people walked out of the room at certain parts of the game. This game for me will be a PSVR seller.. haha.. Can't wait! (I'm pretty sure I'd rather watch someone play this than me..)
@get2sammyb It is not just "an opinion". The media that put the reviews are opinion makers. While for you it's just an opinion, for indie devs it could be their future.
And an "opinion" (review) from someone who is not suitable can condemn an indie video game company to failure.
Love the first YouTube comment on the trailer: ‘Camera Shake: The Game.’
@thefourfoldroot1 Agreed. I love horror games but I am totally immune to jump scares which is why I prefer psychological horror games. However, when playing horror games in VR, I am a little sissy, lol. RE7 is one of the unscariest games ever for me when played flat, in VR I almost wet my pants in some sections.
@dschons
I confess, I couldn’t even finish Resi7 in VR…just too scary.
@nico013 getting the vibe I should probs re-add this to my list. It’s full price again atm but I’ll pick it up next time
@thefourfoldroot1 haha, can't blame you man. Some sections were seriously rough.
Some may say Visage is scariest, but Madison takes to cake by far for me. What an awesome game!! Frigin terrifying…
Visage’s controls and gameplay need tweaking. It’s borderline unplayable for me and frustrating. I feel like I got soft-locked in the one chapter where you have to break mirrors so I started a new file about a year later and it was slightly more enjoyable on that new chapter but I couldn’t bring myself back to it. It just dragged a little too much for me and was a little too wandering and slow to keep my engaged.
Madison is so much better on almost all bullet points. I recommend it if you haven’t played it. Would probably soil myself with VR.
PSVR 2 Review please
