The list of PSVR2 launch games refuses to stop growing, with Townsmen VR the latest title added to the enormous selection. For those unfamiliar with this long-running series, it combines God game elements with the city building genre, so you’ll be responsible for designing (and defending) growing settlements and communities.
The thing that truly sets the title apart is that you’ll be getting your hands dirty – quite literally! You’ll navigate the landscape physically using your hands, pinching and twisting the surface to get a better view of the world around you. There are a total of 20 unique buildings to construct, all of which play into the title’s farming and food chain systems.
Like most tycoon titles, there’s a campaign with specific challenges, as well as a sandbox mode where you set the rules. Pre-orders are available now on the PS Store and at physical retailers, ahead of the release’s 22nd February launch. And if you fancy trying out a pancake edition of Townsmen before committing to this virtual reality version, a previous release is available for PS Plus Extra members as part of All PS Plus Games.

All these games makes me hope resident evil 2&3 may get VR versions one day.
This launch lineup is proving to be really expensive. This looks like another I want to add. Reminds me of Tethered which was a gorgeous PSVR game.
Anyone remember Black and White? Now that in VR seems like it would be awesome. This kinda gives some of those vibes.
@Snackfood loved that game. Since they are owned by Microsoft now (and Peter Molyneux no longer with the company) that would unfortunately be an unlikely prospect.
@Jayslow Damn, good point. Oh well, I can dream. Might have to try and fire that game up again. Maybe someone will make a similar VR game...drawing the magic spells would be awesome in VR, and maybe even flinging unruly citizens out of the world.
If we are talking old style god games, I was thinking this reminded me of "Populous" from Peter Molyneux.
This game really had me thinking about that.
@Snackfood I think there's a demo of that game Tethered I mentioned for PSVR 1 if you want to check that out.
@Svark I have a mint original copy of populus in my collection 👌

"I have a mint original copy of populus in my collection" 👌
That is awesome there Mikey. Peter M. was at the center of some great games back in those days. Populous, Black and White, the original Dungeon Keeper, etc.
I wonder if they hold up today?
Great fun....
@Svark wow I didn’t know he was involved with dungeon keeper!. Populous isn’t too bad but some others I own haven’t age’d well at all. Another hero of mine in the gaming world of the 90s is Charles Cecil of Broken Sword fame. Still my favourite game of all time, a masterpiece!.
