Social trickery and subterfuge titles are all the rage nowadays after Among Us lit the world on fire during lockdown, and Deceive Inc looks like another one hoping to spot the imposter in the act. Releasing for PS5 on 21st March 2023, it tasks up to 12 players ā playing alone or in up to teams of three ā with going undercover as an NPC and trying to extract a piece of cargo. Along the way, they need to keep up their own disguise and work out who the other real players are. Take a look at the trailer above.
Sweet Bandit Studios provides more context and details over on the PlayStation Blog, where it reveals a free open beta will take place from 10th March 2023 featuring crossplay. While it's not confirmed how many playable characters will be part of the pre-launch test, there will be eight in the full game. All have different starting weapon and archetypes, ensuring there'll be a character for every playstyle.
Pre-ordering the game bags you some bonus outfits and equipment ink while a Black Tie Edition bundles in a bit of premium currency. At launch, there'll apparently be loads of cosmetic items to dress your chosen character up in along with select pieces to customise your profile. Are you interested? Trick us in the comments below.

Seems like another one to add to the pile of DOA multiplayer games. Hopefully Iām proven wrong!
more fortnite-esque , childish wacky looking indie feeling games
geez man
I know we haven't even had a chance to play the game but I tend to agree that the amount of titles in the genre feels a bit too much, especially since they're all aiming to capture the same limited audience (people who like to play online with other people, and not Warzone or Fortnite).
The faux-1960s spy aesthetics makes me miss No One Lives Forever (I know I'm dating myself here), we need someone to finally figure out the tangled mess that are the rights to NOLF and get a proper release, or ideally a remaster.
