Announced back in December, Amnesia: The Bunker is a brand new entry in the cult hit horror series. The game, initially announced for March 2023, will now be released on PS4 and other platforms on 16th May.
To recap, this new first-person horror game looks to change things up a fair bit. Set during WW1, you play as French soldier Henri Clement, abandoned by his battalion and left for dead in a mysterious, labyrinthine bunker. With some sort of monster hunting you down, your mission is to escape the bunker unscathed, which will be easier said than done.
Developer Frictional Games makes a point of highlighting the non-linear structure of the game. The layout of puzzles and objects in the titular bunker will change with each playthrough, meaning you'll always be kept on your toes, and you'll have limited tools at your disposal. It sounds pretty horrible, and that's without considering the series' penchant for intense atmosphere.
So, a slight delay to May for Amnesia: The Bunker. Are you excited to play this survival horror title? Turn out the lights in the comments section below.

Frictional are a talented developer and I like the sound of this. Hopefully I’ll be giving it a go come May!
Ps4 only in 2023 lmao
@LIMA Yeah what the hell was that about? Why is there no ps5 version but a Series X/S? Guess it's possibly an error on their part.
@Nepp67 who really gives a damn... for this kind of game you dont need 40Tflops. Just enjoy it if you want to be scared.
Disappointed they went back to the Amnesia well again.
That sounds like a roguelite/roguelike game to me. Not saying I don't like it but there have been some extremely impressive titles in the genre and the bar is set pretty high.
I hope it will be great like Dark Descent and SOMA. Rebirth and Machine for Pigs had their moments, but ultimately they were a bit of a letdown compared to the other two.
Frictional really should consider adding VR support as well. VR is another level than flatscreen games when it comes to horror like this.
@PegasusActual93 It seems that way unfortunately cause apparently it was confirmed by Digital Foundry that they skipped a ps5 version
@djape I mean fair but I've been enjoying PS5's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers and was wanting Frictional to implement it here. Especially when they're adding in guns to the mix.
@Nepp67 yeah fair call
I still need to play thru the older Amnesia games, but happy we have a date finally.
