The 16th season of ongoing support for Apex Legend is about to begin, and it's shaping up to be a doozy. Called Revelry, this next onslaught of content revamps the class system, adds a new weapon, and introduces Team Deathmatch, and it all kicks off on Valentine's Day, 14th February.
Team Deathmatch does pretty much what it says on the tin. Two teams of six players will face each other, with the first team to rack up a combined 30 kills winning the round, with three rounds being needed to declare ultimate victory. Party Crasher, Skulltown and Habitat 4 will be the TDM maps available at launch, and you can see it all in action in the trailer below.
The Nemesis Burst AR will also be introduced; it fires a four-round burst with an automatic trigger, takes Energy ammunition and will come with a full suite of attachments. A Golden Shotgun Bolt is being introduced as well, which loads the weapon whilst sliding or during traversal, which should cause no end of frustration for players on the receiving end.
Finally, every Legend in the game has been assigned to one of five classes, Assault, Skirmisher, Controller, Recon or Support, with each class having its own unique perks. It will remain to be seen how this change affects the competitive meta.

Now I'm interested. Just can't get into Battle Royale.
oh ***** , maybe make a smaller scale br mode too , more like search and destroy . i for the life of me cant get into BR , even with friends its boring and nobodies there to see the win
Team deathwatch I might actually try. Can't stand battle royal. Was novel for a bit on pc when PUBG first appeared but boggles my mind how it became so massive?
Got tired of apex once the novelty of new cosmetics wore off. That's all there is once you've gone through multiple seasons. Great gameplay but not enough substance for me as a gamer.
The new Legend class perks sound like they could shake up the meta a little - basically all the most popular characters (and Mirage, for some reason) are getting the most useless perk.
So I might give the new season a shot. A few rounds now and then. Because I don't want to play it too much, as it's too easy to become entangled in the FOMO aspect of live-service games like this!
@nomither6 They've had 3v3 Arenas which is kinda like Counter Strike but in Apex.
None of these new season articles discuss it much, but it's being removed with this update.
It was my #1 mode by a long shot. Game will be dead to me.
@MFTWrecks i forgot about 3v3 arenas
