Slow life RPG Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg will launch on 13th July – and the Digital Deluxe Edition will come with the PS1 original included. At least, that’s the case in Japan; we’re still trying to get confirmation of whether this offer will extend to the Western releases as well. Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg first launched on PS1 in 1997, but was never localised internationally.
In Japan at least, the Digital Deluxe Edition will cost ¥8,580 (~$63), and will include 33 bonus costumes, an additional background music pack, and the aforementioned PS1 port. Those who purchase the standard version either physically or digitally will be able to pay the difference to access the aforementioned additional content at any time.
For those of you who haven’t been following this title, Atelier Marie Remake is – as the name implies – a full modern remake of the 1997 original which includes some new gameplay elements, such as an unlimited mode and more guided progression for those who need it. You can check out a new trailer embedded above.

I love the Atelier series! That said this game releases somewhat close to Ryza 3 that will most likely have content licked behind overpriced editions. Wouldn't a fall release date be better?
In any case I look forward to Ryza 3, it releases in about a month
I think I'd prefer just the PS1 version...
The SD sections are kind of off-putting
Nice with the PS1 version included this just shot up way higher on my priority list
They didn’t localise it originally and I can’t see them doing it now. Probably going to be Japan only
If they give it away in the west I can't imagine they will localise it so it.
Pretty cool, probably won't get localized however.
My biggest concern is if there will be a physical version in Australia, certain smaller and re-releases just don’t come here such as Ys 8 and Ys 9 ps5 versions🙁
@pushsquare The game is confirmed for the west, it has a steam preorder page!
@GorosBat The question is whether the PS1 port will be available in the West.
I'm just happy to have the remake at this point.
@Doctor-Moo oops I missread, if that’s the case that would be kinda contentious because they’d have to localise the original as well so I doubt we’d get the OG, but you never know.
@GorosBat Happy to hear we should be getting the remake in the West at least!
