Survios has announced the enhanced Creed: Rise to Glory - Championship Edition will release for PSVR2 on 4th April 2023, providing early adopters with another title to consider beyond tomorrow's launch day slate. Current owners of the PSVR version can pay to upgrade their copy, with the standard version costing $19.99 and the Deluxe Edition coming in at $29.99. If you're buying the game for the first time, it's $39.99 for the base version, but PS Plus members get a 10 per cent discount for pre-ordering.

The trailer above shows the PSVR2 upgrades in action, but you can also look forward to new story chapters, characters, and locations based on next month's movie Creed III alongside everything that was in the original game. That content has been updated to run in 4K with a 110-degree field of view, alongside foveated rendering to ensure whatever you're looking at is at its best. There's better controller tracking in the PSVR2 Sense pads, haptic feedback in the headset, and "lightning-fast load times".

Pre-orders go live on the PS Store today, and PS Plus subscribers gain access to an exclusive Adonis Creed costume if they commit their cash early.

We weren't particularly impressed when we published our Creed: Rise to Glory PSVR review back in September 2018; it scored a 5/10 on our site. However, the poor tracking of the PS Move wands and a lack of content were two of our main complaints. Since these issues seem to have been addressed in the PSVR2 version, this Championship Edition may well be the knockout experience we were hoping for five years ago.
