Just watched the trailer during lunch break.
Came right over here to see what you guys were saying about it.
Time to book a week off work.
Very fun trailer. Really looking forward to finally playing now!
Can't wait to play it as it looks fantastic.
Got Thursday and Friday off work next week just for this.
BRING ME THE DARK MAGIC
I'm on media blackout at this point for the game so I won't watch the trailer but I'm super pumped for the game!
Very fan trailer. Now, to be honest, seeing the set pieces and the characters in the trailer I almost think that a retelling of the Harry Potter saga using this game as basis would be kind of cool.
As frustrating as the Jedi Survivor delay was, it means I can really take my time with this game (until RE4 comes out). Can’t believe it’s almost here 😁
Wait, the game is out in a week? Geez it completely flew under my radar lol.
Any word on embargo date?

Monday can’t come soon enough. It’s not often I’d preorder a digital deluxe, but I made the exception here. Can’t wait!
Please don’t be bad, please don’t be bad….
I am super excited! Can't wait!
They have given me the love potion because I looooooove that trailer!
Now that this is nearly upon us, God of War Ragnarok got amazing reviews, and Spider-Man 2 is later this year, I think the time has very nearly arrived to purchase a PS5...
Can't wait to play this!
Got 2 serious hospital follow up appointments (which also will clarify if I can play PSVR2 at launch - priorities! xD ) the day before the 72hrs early access release... Hoping for really good news with those, so that I can play Hogwarts Legacy with peace of mind and fully immerse myself!
Was a major fan of HP 1-3 on PS1/PS2 back in the early 2000s and so excited to return and see such a detailed Hogwarts!
I think I’m the only person I know who never cared for Harry Potter, even back in the day before the “controversy.”
I’ve only seen the first two movies and I read the first four books. Way back in middle school. But I had no desire to continue.
It’s weird. All of my friends were (and still are) cracked out on it. But I just never really got into it. The subject matter didn’t interest me and I wasn’t into JK’s style of writing.
Still I hope this game is good for the fans of the franchise. But I’ve got no interest.
@get2sammyb it's looking good!
Have you got review codes? What's the timeline for when we can get little snippets and teases about how it looks, plays and feels so far? 😁😁😁
I'll have to get practicing my awful wizarding world version of an English accent to go along with playing this too, can't wait 😁
Bring it on, looks great!
Looks amazing and I'm not even a Harry Potter fan. Though I'm a sucker for any game with a good character creation system.
People will love the game and the critics will either hate it or refuse to review it. That’s my take.
From the trailer, it will be a great game. I wonder if it’s gonna have a PSVR2 version.
"It’s almost upon us! If, like this author, you’ve been waiting a lifetime for a game like Hogwarts Legacy"
You brave, brave individual! I hope certain members of the twittersphere don't see this, for your sake!
Game looks fantastic though, can't wait for next week
This looks absolutely amazing! I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I KNOW I will enjoy those games!!!
I can already see Godric's Hollow DLC or Malfoy Mansion DLC etc.
Hogwarts Legacy Will Take 40 Hours to Beat, 100+ Hours to 100%..That good to know it decent playtime..Just hope the side quest etc are good..
@OrtadragoonX that's 2 more movies and 4 more books than me.
Game looks good though hope it does well and people enjoy it.
Super excited to play. I’ll be playing as Slytherin. I’m hoping the character creation will allow me to create the creator.
Would never support a TERF and transphobe like JK Rowling.
Push Square: Why won’t you name her or her abhorrent views if you’re going to state you don’t agree with her views. Sounds a lot like fence-sitting to me.
@MatthewJP
I gave it an honest chance.
Plus back in sixth grade we got an hour of free reading time per day. I was a voracious reader who had already went through most of the stuff they had at the school during my free time after school and in between classes.
Those were the some of the last ones I got to.
As for the movies, the first two I watched way later in life. Mainly because I was dating a girl who was Harry Potter obsessed and forced me too.
@Arnna
They’re trying to take the middle ground position and respect all views on the issue.
This isn’t a political or social discussion forum. They’re doing the right thing.
I have a political forum I visit often when I want to debate such subjects. I imagine most people in this community do similar things.
@Perryg92 all the best man

The game is going to sell millions of copies 🙂
@Netret0120 And? Adding to revenue stream because she wrote a kids book is disgusting.
She actively makes the world a worse place for vulnerable minorities who have hurt no one.
@OrtadragoonX I understand that this is games site and not a political one, but alluding to the issue and then sitting on the fence is cowardly.
There is no middle ground. People who choose to be bigoted and bully an already vulnerable section of society by misusing feminism and citing rhetoric instead of widely accepted medical science, are damaging to society and progress.
Suicide rates among trans people are outrageously high and she is directly complicit in adding to those statistics. She is never held to account for her actions.
Adding to her income stream is ghastly.
Same goes for all the Hollywood actors who take paychecks in the Fantastic Beasts series.
@Arnna if you honestly think this site sits on the fence on this issue, explain how your original comment remains
@MatthewJP Because I kept my messages within bounds and moderate. At least one message which replied to my original comment used offensive slurs and was deleted. Can’t believe I need to explain this..
@Arnna there's been far more eloquent and tasteful comments than yours 'within bounds' removed recently, you can be assured of that.
@MatthewJP Those comments obviously didn’t abide by the site’s terms of service. How would you know the content of those messages unless you were responsible for them?
I can’t wait it looks amazing.
@Arnna damn, you got me Columbo - all deleted comments are mine 🙄
@Arnna
I mean I get what you're saying and I agree with the sentiment.
But how would she be held accountable? People can choose not to buy her licensed products, but some people (I would say most, actually) don’t care that much and will buy it anyway. Despite her views she still has the right to free speech, so she couldn’t be held accountable from that stand point.
I mean I’m an American. I’m a huge Roger Waters fan. Loved his solo career music since I was a kid. But the guy has said some awful things about my country and Americans in general in the past. And it makes me angry sometimes. I love my country; I’m a very proud patriot. Even though I freely admit that my country has done some bad stuff and continues to do bad stuff. No different than any other country frankly.
From my own personal perspective, I still enjoy his music. I listen to it constantly. I’ve never had any desire whatsoever to boycott him.
I suspect a lot of people feel similarly about such matters. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a lot of trans gamers who plan on buying Hogwarts Legacy despite what Rowling has said. I know one personally. She’s a big Harry Potter fan.
Should we be more principled? Yes we should. But we are humans. Everything is complicated in life.
Does anyone know how long it'll take to complete the main story?
@MatthewJP
Well said.
@get2sammyb When can we expect to see reviews of Hogwarts Legacy? I'd like to know the embargo date.
@OrtadragoonX I agree with what you’re written. I don’t have the solution. My personal solution is to not buy anything associated with the women.
Apologies for the late reply - some deeply pathetic individuals spammed erroneous reports on my comments.
