Dead Space PS5 PlayStation

Motive's PS5 Dead Space remake has been out for a week now, and we thought it was pretty darn good. The creator of the original Dead Space, Glen Schofield, thinks so too and has congratulated the development team on their efforts.

Replying to a post on LinkedIn (thanks VGC) by his daughter, Nicole, Schofield thanked everyone involved in both the original and the remake, stating that "to all of you who worked on the original, thank you for your contributions to an amazing game, it has withstood the test of time. And to Motive, thank you for your care in remaking the game faithfully. Congratulations."

Schofield was the director of the recently released The Callisto Protocol, which inevitably drew comparisons with both the original and remade Dead Space, for better or worse. So far, The Callisto Protocol has reportedly failed to meet sales expectations. It was also assisted in development by Sony, specifically with its cinematic performance capture.

Where do you stand on the great Dead Space remake vs The Callisto Protocol question, do you prefer one to the other? What do you think of Schofield's magnanimous words? Let us know in the comments section below.
