Plans for the next season of content for Tom Clancy's The Division 2 hit a snag when a fix for a localisation issue ended up bringing down the entire build generation system, making updates impossible.
Developer Massive Entertainment took to Twitter to reveal the delay of the 11th season of content, Reign of Fire, which was intended to go live on 7th February. As it stands, the developer's hands are tied, "we cannot update the game until this system has been rebuilt".
Massive Entertainment notes that good progress has been made in the last 96 hours and has promised an update on an expected timeline tomorrow. Division agents currently out in the field will need to wait a little longer for that new content, and we hope the issue is resolved before too much longer.

I had been thinking about going back to this game over the last few days.
I guess I'll leave it for now 🤷
Didn't realise this game was still going 🤔
To fair to Ubisoft man's Massive the support and added content is pretty good compared vast majority of other games out there. Went back after a year and bit and was surprised by how much additional content had been added.
The problem isn't the delayed season, the last maintenance completely broke the game. It's been pretty much unplayable since Tuesday. Opening the map crashes the game, moving the map cursor crashes the game, can't change global settings or directives, can't travel back to DC from NY, players losing all the gear in their stash. It's an absolute mess.
@InvaderJim It's not impressive when you realize the majority of it was added within the first year or so and it has simply been re-used ad nauseum for 10+ seasons.
I say that as someone who recently played 8, 9, and 10.
Wow, Ubisoft can’t catch a break these days. Almost every news story lately has been something going poorly fer them.
It’s almost like the years of mismanagement and alleged abuse are causing their game designs to stagnate and to see them lose talented developers. Go figure. 🤷♂️
This is because it’s time for the Division 3 already.
People still play this game?
