Today, fans of incredibly good television were given an unexpected treat with the announcement that Episode 5 of HBO's The Last of Us adaptation, titled "Endure and Survive", will air two days early.
Fans in the US will be able to catch it on HBO Friday, 10th February at 9 pm EST/6 pm PST. This early mark ensures the show does not clash with the Super Bowl, a state of affairs which would have forced sports and video game adaptation enthusiasts to make a rather difficult choice.
Those in the UK will be able to catch the episode when it airs on Sky TV, provided they are willing to stay up until 2 am on Saturday, 11th February. The same goes for residents of the tropical paradise known as Australia, where it is, admittedly, slightly too hot at the minute. Episode 5 will air on Binge on Saturday, 11th February, at 1 pm AEDT.
Those are just the timezone changes we are currently aware of with official confirmation. If you live outside of those regions, it's probably worth checking with your local provider, as there are likely to be others. Are you looking forward to an early viewing of The Last of Us, or will this just make the wait for Episode 6 entirely unbearable? Endure and survive in the comments section below.

I won't complain. The way it ended meant that I didn't want to wait another week anyway. It felt like the first half of a two episode arc, assuming they end the next one where I think they will.
I hoping they don't skip the sewers, we've barely seen any clickers and I don't like it lol.
Fly, Eagles Fly! 🏈🦅
I'll assume it's the same in other regions with HBO Max and I'll gladly watch it on Saturday. Mondays suck.
@Octane
On the flip side though I'm assuming we'll now have to wait a week and a half for the next one instead of just a week
2 Episodes 1 Week? This show is getting bloated.
@Member_the_game it’s like getting paid on December 23rd huh?
They’ve said it’ll air differently for us in UK but the listing hasn’t been changed yet. Its still down for Sunday/Monday AM.
They’ve done this in the past where they’ve confirmed one thing and done another.
Yep, still Sunday night / Monday morning at 2am for the chumps subscribed to Sky
Sky need to update their onscreen TV guide because atm it’s showing Game of Thrones at 2am Saturday 🙄
Before this announcement I could have cared less about the SB, but now I’m a big fan even thought I could still care less about the game.
@Octane This is why I’m waiting until a few days before the last episode before I start watching. 😉 Sure there are spoilers out there but it’s not like I didn’t play the game. I did. Played Left Behind a few months ago.
And episodes feeling like only half an episode is how almost all the tv I watch works these days, it’s less “tv episodes” more “a movie cut into parts”. At least we know it will end in episode 9, I’ve seen a bunch of tv shows lately where each “season” (or series in the UK) is so obviously just half a season that finishes the story in season 2. I think seasons 2 and 3 of TLOU PT2 will be like that from what little I’ve read.😝

Looking forward to the half-time show and the long-awaited return of the incredible Rihanna 🙌🥳
Love the half-time show at the Super Bowl - it’s the only bit I watch 🤣
@ItsBritneyB_tch I only watch the commercials/ads online myself, thru YouTube haha.
Pretty sure there is no football match called the superbowl. We are not at that point in the season. Champions league final should be good though. 😁
