Wild Hearts launches at the end of the week, on 17th February for PS5, and we got a trailer introducing us to the game's hunting hub, the tranquil village of Minato.
Like the Monster Hunter franchise, which popularised the genre, Wild Hearts is a hunting game, and players will spend as much time tooling up for each climactic encounter as they will facing fearsome beasties out in the wild. From earning upgrades and unlocking new equipment to chatting with NPCs and soaking up the serenity, Minato will offer you a welcome respite from the wilds beyond.
Will you be diving into Wild Hearts? Do you think it has the makings of a true Monster Hunter competitor? Follow the trail to the comments section below.

If you have EA Play you can download and play this right now, for up to 10 hours. I started installing yesterday but not played it yet.
Really curious to see how this reviews. At the moment, it’s a try on sale but it looks great.
Dont really see why you should have to have an ea account to download a demo. It should be available to all.
@Stonecold it's 10 hours of the full game download, your save will carry over to the game release too
@ChrisDeku hi. But how do you get it here in the uk?
You join EA plus on the EA Plus Website, and I imagine you link it your psn account and then sign-in on your console and go to the store page and find the game.
I actually did it on xbox because EA plus is included with gamepass(if I buy it I will buy on PS5). I had to go to the xbox store, find the game and it let me download the game trial as my account already has EA plus linked to it.
@Stonecold just go to subscriptions in your ps app,ea play.
I think the demo limits you to the opening sections of the game despite giving you ten hours. I’ve downloaded but not played
Literally nothing I’ve read so far from people who have played it has been positive! Disappointing. Despite people repeatedly claiming February is packed to the rafters, I’m not interested in Harry Potter and this was one of the games I had a hopeful eye on!
Saw people playing it on Twich. It seems like a real competitor with MonHun (finally)
There’s no way I’m paying a
Subscription just so I can play a demo of a game. What a rip off.
@Totheteeth I don't think I would say that. Josh of RageGaming (who I always go to for MonHun stuff) appears to be thrilled with the game after going in for almost 50 hours. The game looks VERY much MonHun influenced in just about all ways, which is a pretty good thing in my book (as MH is my favorite series of all time). I'm really looking forward to this one!
@Highlar yeah - I actually think the early stuff I’d read was about the series s version. I must have been a bit delirious. People are very unhappy with that specific version because (apparently) they totally failed to optimise it for the white box.
In other news - I still haven’t played the demo myself.
I'm skipping all new videos until I get around to playing, which won't be for a few years lol.
